Too much to ask for?

Ok so my birthday is coming up and I am turning 14 years old. I am a little unsure of my birthday list and was wondering from a parent's standpoint if these gifts were too much to ask for. On my list I have: A $49.99 LG Cell Phone A Tempur Pedic Pillow Assorted gift cards to Best Buy, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc. Guitar Hero 2 for XBox 360 with the guitar controller A DVD Thanks for the help. Oh and also perhaps a new mountain bike.

  1. if you are expecting to get all of it then, yes. but that would be a good list to give to your parents so they can choose what to give you. you could put a star next to the things that you REALLY want (choose 2 or 3) to make their decision easier.
  2. I think it depends on a number of factors. First of all, how much do your parents normally spend on birthdays? Different families have different ideas about what is appropriate for birthday spending. So if your parents normally spend that much on a birthday, then it would be fine. Also, do you expect to receive everything on the list, or do you only expect to receive 1 or 2 or 3 items? My grandfather always made a Christmas list and then put "Choose any 3" on it! Hahaha. Maybe you could consider that. If you're not sure, you could just give your parents the list and say, "This is just a list of what I'd REALLY like, but if it's way too much, then I understand." Happy Birthday!
