Anyone who is familiar with Cingular/ATT policies on plans and phone upgrades please answer!?

hi i just recently bought an ATT tilt, it is a great phone. Dont ask me why, but i need to get rid of it for my own reasons. My parents are upgrading their phones in a week and i was wondering if when my dad gets his new phone can i take that one and give him the tilt? He is getting a blackberry if that helps. Are there any complications in the plan that will prevent me from doing that?. Please i need advice from only someone that knows what there talking about thankyou.

1. If you bought it within a 30 days you can take it back for exchange and you cannot put a 3g sim card into a Blackberry because Blackberries are edge phones/2.5g and The Tilt is 3g
