ATT phone eligibility w/ out purchase of phone at time of contract?

About six months ago I added onto my wife's ATT plan via family add-a-line. I did not purchase a phone at the time of signing the contract. Instead, I just used an old phone that was given to me. Am I still eligible to receive a new phone at a subsidized price? Or is the subsidized price only available at the time of signing the contract?

  1. Depending how long you have had your phone. Usually if you can check your account online it says on there (an icon you click) that says if you are avaialbe for an upgrade on a phone. Or just call AT&T and they will let you know, just to be on the safe side. I have had a phone for almost one year and when I looked to upgrade it gave me a list of phones and how much each one would be since I have had service for 1 year.
  2. i beleive that you can still get a cheap price for a new phone because you have not used your elegibilty up yet so you should go into the att store and theyll tell you but watch out for some of the att stores because sometimes theyll try and trick you and mke you pay more money
