cell phone! refurb?

okay, online this is how it is. LG Shine Cell Phone: $99.99 LG Shine Cell Phone (Refurb): $39.99 its the same phone though, so why is the refurb cheaper. whats different?

1. refurb means that someone has used it before- it's not a brand new phone. More than likely it was sent back due to some malfunction that was resolved by the return center. You probably won't have any problems with one since all the kinks have been worked out, but they are not able to sell them at full price due to being used.
2. Refurbished means that it was returned by someone due to some defect. The phone was then fixed and put up for resale. I would advise you to be careful with refurbished phones, some work well with no problems and some have tons of issues. Remember you get what you pay for.
