Can you activate and ATT phone if your cell phone plan is on Verizon?
I really want a phone from AT&T but my parents use verizon. So is there any way to get a phone from there but activate it using verizon? Thanks for the help. :)

- not unless you know somone who can unlock it
- if its a locked phone, then no.
- no because at&t phones use sim cards and verizon phones do not
- sadly, no. I wanted to do that but the opposite loll! be lucky you have verizon.
- no, there isn't. Verizon doesn't use SIM cards but AT&T does....it won't work.
- no...
- Nope. Each phone company configures the phones they sell to their service, you can't use them with different phone companies.
- nope unless you're friends with a hacker... lol
- It's possible to buy unlocked phones from places like ebay or craigslist, but even they can only be used on networks that allow unlocked phones. So call verizon, ask if they allow you to use an unlocked phone on their network, then start looking for an unlocked version of the phone you like.
- I do not believe so. To use a phone from AT&T you must have a plan with AT&T. I am sorry that your phone won't work out! Verizon has some really nice phones, though. I have AT&T and I hate almost every phone except the Blackberry 8820, which Verizon has as well.
- Unfortunately, no. ATT phones use sim cards similar to T-Mobile, where as the Verizon phones do not.
- Most likely the answer would be no. I've had Verizon and my husband and I are currently with AT&T and my experiences are...... The sim card in the back of the phone that verizon uses is LARGER then the ones that AT&T uses. This is one of their ways of luring you into buying their phones. Hope this helps
- No verizon uses only verizon phones. At&t uses a GSM network that means that there is a little chip in the back in the phone that has all your info. And Verizon uses CDMA witch is programed into the phone and there is no GSM card slot or GSM cards for verizon.
- Well it really depends on the phone that you are going to purchase. For example if you buy an AT&T iPhone then you would not be able to activate it because the phone uses a Sim card that is not compatible with Verizon's signal towers. However some of the other phones that are available would be compatible. The thing about buying one from another network is that you are going to have to pay a lot for the phone because you will not get the usual network discount pricing. So a regular-not-so-great phone may cost you around $400, so be wary of this. Also in order to switch the AT&T phone over you are going to have to pay a fee to get the phone unlocked. So I don't suggest doing this unless you have a lot of money to spend just to get one from another network.
- No. Verizon service does not use a SIM CARD. AT&T is GMS network and that uses SIM, like T-mobile. I want that Blackberry from Verizon so bad it hurts (LOL) but until someone comes up with a GMS I will just love it from afar. Even if it's unlocked, there is no SIM card slot. It wont work.
- If it is a lock phone then no, bestbuy sells unlocked phones though.
- no because they use two different technologies. you cant use a phone from Verizon on AT&T and you cant use a phone from AT&T on Verizon. sorry. look at the Verizon phones and pick a nice one.
- No you cannot. I sell At&t, Verizon and T-mobile, so I know this. You would have to find a hacker who's name you prolly couldn't pronounce.
