How do i get a nextel chip to work on att phone?

it says my phone isnt personalised. and i unlocked it with the code from att.

1. Nextel chips will ONLY work on iDEN networks, they WILL not work on GSM like AT&T or T-mobile use. Copied from Phonescoop.com: Newer iDEN phones use a SIM card that is compatible with GSM phones for overseas roaming. However, iDEN is a very different standard from GSM. Most iDEN phones are not compatible with GSM networks, and GSM phones are not compatible with iDEN networks.
2. u cannot use a nextel sim chip in any other phone except a nextel phone. nextel's network is different from everyother provider in the US except boostmobile(same company) if u ever hear when ppl say its a "cdma" network or "gsm" network there talking abt the tower technology that is used. nextels towers are "iden" thats y they dont roam because they are the only iden network in this country. u need to contact att for a sim card if u dont already have an att sim. if u are just trying to keep ur contacts u are able to take ur sim cards to a store and have them copy ur old sim to the new just make sure u remember ur unlock code on ur sim cards
