How to connect my Nokia phone to internet using my pc which has a broadband connection?

My friend uses this thing he has a broadband connection in his laptop(wifi enabeled) and further he uses internet in his mobile phone using wifi. But I am not able to use the same and have tried almost everything . Kindly procide the soltion Thnxin advance
