If I buy a Blackberry phone that says it has internet, do I need to pay a monthly fee?
Or does it access the internet wherever there is a free WiFi signal and no monthly fee for internet?

- It depends. You can buy a Blackberry without a wireless internet plan and it would still work on wifi, but if you want 3G you need to pay a monthly fee.
- It should be included, but you may want to check with your phone service provider. I just got one about 4 weeks ago and love it! I can access YouTube and Google - its awesome!
- You're right, so don't expect to be able to just hop on the Internet. You can find a signal in a lot of places, like Starbucks, but to access the WiFi you'll have to pay - about $10 a day to access (at bux anyway). If you want to access the internet wherever you are, regardless of a WiFi signal, plan to spend the extra $30 a month for the access through your wireless carrier, you'll be a lot happier with the experience.
- I have a Blackberry Storm on a capped plan with Vodafone - the monthly fee is $70 and that includes $340 of calls, and unlimited internet browsing and emails. The Blackberry Storm also has Google Maps with GPS - so you can pinpoint where you are if you get lost, and get directions to places. If you need on the go internet access on a phone, I would go with this plan . Vodafone also have this on an iPhone - have a look at that phone as well and decide which phone you prefer.
