How do you save text messages from your cell phone to your computer?

I have a Verizon wireless cell phone from LG and I have almost a full text message mailbox. I need to save these messages to my Mac computer for legal reasons. It can't be just the message part but it has to include who sent it and everything. Please someone help me.

1. You need to get a USB cable for your phone if you don't have one already. Install BitPim. This will allow you to back up anything on your phone to your computer, including your text messages. It is available for Macs ;-) http://www.bitpim.org
2. Bitpim works(Free!), you could also forward them to your email address and have them retrieved by your computer
3. I had to save my text messages for the same reason. I had to search high and low until I finally found one that worked really well. Mobtime Cell Phone Manager is GREAT. www.mobtime.com It isnt free, but it does everything you are looking for.
