how do you unlock a unactivated verizon wireless cell phone?

I received a LG enV cell phone in the mail because my old one broke. I put mt battery init before getting it actuvated and was just looking at things on it and just messin around. Well i accidenty locked the phone and i dont know the code to un lock it. It is 4 numbers and i have no idea what it is. Please help!!!

1. did you put a code there if so you need to type in your password and that mite unlock it
2. take it up to your carrier they know how to unlock it while your there you can get it avtivated
3. call verizon..they will give it to you
