Ending a Verizon Wireless Phone Plan Early?

Well my family has a verizon wireless cell phone plan and we are planning to switch to U.S. Cellular but our 2-year plan with verizon ends in July, but I really want a new phone so is there any way you can end your plan early for a small fee possibly?

1. I have AT&T -- the fee per line to cancel the contract early per line I think it said was $175. Call Verison and ask them. I really like AT&T --I think the only cell phone company that has roll over minutes --so we don't have to keep track of minutes all the time.
2. There is a way to end the contract, but you have to pay the early termination fee. No way to get out of that unless you are going over seas for military purposes or you are moving outside of the U.S. Both of those you have to prove you are with legal papers. It is $175 per line to cancel.
