LG Wireless Phone

If I would take the SIM card out of my ATT phone and put it in a Go Phone, would the $1 per day charge apply?

I accidentally washed my brand new ATT Nokia cell phone in the washing machine. The SIM card remained intact. If I removed the SIM card and put it in a new Samsung ATT Go Phone, would it function correctly? If so, would the $1 per day of usage fee and other Go Phone charges apply?
