Forwarding ATT cell phone number to Verizon Blackberry?

I have a cell phone and number from my former employer. They are going to disconnect me from their account very soon. I'd like to dump the actual cell phone but keep the number because a lot of people reach me on that number. Can I have calls made to the old ATT number forwarded to the Verizon Blackberry which my new company has given me? I cannot change the Blackberry number.

You can only have your calls forwarded if your account is still active, so in this case, it would not work for u. if you are interested in changing the blackberry number: If your account is a business account, you may need to call the business department(customer care) and ask to have that number ported to Verizon. If you have a personal account, its even easier, just call customer care and ask for the porting department, they will get u there and u tell them the issue. The porting takes usually 24 hrs. (workd for ATT/Cingular)
