how to minimize the high charges from phone company?

how to minimize the att charges if somebody called from your homeline by accident and you don't have an internaitional plan to cover for it? My friend called from my homeline without my acknowlodge (he was using a calling card but he didn't do it right). Is there any way that I could do to minimize the charges and make it a reasonable charges? Thanks.

1. Okay what you need to do is Call AT&T. Ask for a supervisor, Tell them a child made the calls without your permission and you had no idea they made the calls. AT&T should drop the charges for the calls. They cant bill you for charges made my a minor without your permission. It says this in the fine print where it talks about disputed charges.
