- you'll need to make a police report. falsifying a report is a crime. next unless you have insurance it will not be replaced for free. you'll have to buy a new one. until you buy a new phone, you will still be charged your monthly rate
- Well, it depends on if you have insurance on your current phone/plan, and how much the phone you wants costs. If you claim your phone is stolen, you will have to file a claim, fill out paperwork, and then they will proceed with providing you another phone. If the phone you want costs more than your coverage will allow, you will have to pay a deductible (the balance) of the cost of the phone. If not, you may get it for free (which probably won't happen). You may want to look into how much an upgrade will cost, it may be cheaper. Hope this helps!
- If you or someone else tries to activate the device and the IMEI comes up on the blacklist as stolen then the person that has the device goes to jail for being in possession of stolen merchandise and you go to jail for insurance fraud (which by the way could be a felony)
- Yes you will need to file a police report, and they send you the same phone. It's not new, it's a refurbished phone. It's $50 they will put on your bill, so your getting an old phone for $50 and it's the same one. Also, if your old phone is activated again, it will be shown as stolen. It is also fraud. If/when found out you will be charged with insurance fraud, account cancelled, and criminal charges laid. Fraud is a felony.
