How do i get Phone activation with verizon wireless?

Okay, so i have a Voyager currently and i have verizon wireless, but i really wanted to change my phone to a Blackberry Pearl. My contract is up in August but i just can't wait! So, i was wondering if you can buy a phone online and activate it with Verizon wireless to avoid the fees. Verizon wireless only carries the Pink and White blackberry pearl, so if i buy a red one will i still be able to activate it with Verizon Wireless?

2. no, because either way, its still verizon youd be signing up with and theyd see that you already have an account with them. most cell phone companies will not consider you a new customer if you just reactivate your account within a certain time period. you can only activate it with verizon if the phone is made to be used with them. for instance, if you got a t-mobile bb pearl, you couldnt use it with verizon because t-mobile phones use sim cards for gsm and verizon uses cdma.
