Verizon cell phone LG 9800?

I recently dropped my Verizon LG 9800 cell phone (fell out of my pocket) and now the screen display does not work. Has anyone experienced this? known issue maybe?

2. What you are experiencing is likely due to some sort of physical damage caused when you dropped your phone. It may not have seemed like a bad fall, but hitting it the right way could easily cause this to occur, given the sensitivity of the device. This would be covered under the Asurion insurance policy of you elected for it within your first 15 days of activation, which would require a $50 deductable for replacement. Otherwise, you would have to upgrade your phone, pay full retail, or activate a used phone you can get from a friend of family member. Try having a tech look at it at a VZW store and see what they can do,
