  1. new battery or new phone
  2. How long did you have your phone? Did you buy insurance for it? Call Verizon and tell them what you just wrote. If you have insurance, they will send you another phone but you have to pay the deductable ($50, I think). If you have no insurance, you have to mail them your phone, they figure out what wrong, fix it and send it back to you. In the mean time, you have no phone, unless they agree to send you a loaner.
  3. As another person stated, if you have insurance you will pay a $50 deductible for another phone. How old is your phone? If it is still within the 1 year warranty Verizon will provide you with another phone as well, however 99.9% of the time it will not be a new phone, it will be a refurbished phone. Another thing you can do if the phone is still within the 1 year warranty is to contact LG directly. I did this 2 months after my daughter got her LG Chocolate as it become "possessed" and started dialing numbers on it's own and I refused to take a refurbished phone as a replacement for a $170 phone that was only 2 months old. LG provided me with a brand new phone (they said the keyboard was defective) at no charge. When I contacted them they offered me a loaner phone but we still had an old Razr so we didn't need a loaner. If they don't offer you a loaner phone you need to ask them about getting one. You can contact LG at 1-800-793-8896. If your phone is out of the 1 year warranty and if you do not have insurance you still might want to contact LG directly and ask them about your phone, they will probably have you send it in and then they will provide you with an estimated cost to repair, etc. Good luck!
