Has anyone else had overheating Verizon LG phones.?
I like Verizon's call quality and coverage area, but I don't like most of the phones available. I can't talk on my LG phone for more than 2 minutes before it gets hot to the touch. I can understand the phone getting a little warm because it'll absord warmth radiating from the body. But this phone doesn't get warm, it get very hot. I've had the battery replaced. Then, when the problem kept happening, I had the phone itself replaced. Same thing. Phone heated up. I've heard other people complaining about Verizon phones heating up. Not just the LG ones, either. Can anyone recommend a good phone? I'm thinking about the En-V or Venus. AT&T is every bit as good as Verizon in all of the places I travel. If I can't find a good Verizon phone, I'm switching to AT&T. Any help with this will be appreciated.

- every verizon phone(chocolate...env...etc) i had broke. verizon just has really bad phones.
- I have had this same problem. I have the LG 8700. It's got a metal back that touches the battery. I notice when it's charging it gets hot too. And same with when I'm talking. The strangest one though, is 2 weeks ago, I left my phone in my pants pocket when I changed for gym class, and i put my pants back on, and my pocket was hot. The phone, just sitting in the locker, over heated. I think it has to do that the back of my phone touches the battery. I'm not sure though. But you aren't the only one.
- thats pretty weird i've tested quite a few of verizons phones and never had this problem. if i were you i would buy a phone that was released recently. They are more reliable and the batteries in the newer phones are better. All phones get warm from use.. but its not a good sign when it gets too hot to touch.
- I sell for Verizon and have only had one phone in the last few months where this happened. We tried a new charger and a new battery so it was definetly the phone. I would suggest you replace your phone. It is not a common thing.
