Is Wifi free with blackberry curve?

I recently got my internet cut off from my Blackberry but now i found out how to use it again if i switch it to wifi network. Will my cell phone company charge me if I'm using the internet with wifi?

1. No wifi is free as long as its turned on. But once your out of wifi area they start charging you by the megabyte and this can be a bit expensive, so be careful when using the web. I would be safe and call just to make sure this is right.
