LG Wireless Phone

With a blackberry phone, do you need an internet plan to use the wireless internet or is it free?

I have looked everywhere but can't find details. I'm getting a RIM BlackBerry 7230, and it says "wireless internet" does that mean for free, like a laptop's wifi connection? or does that just mean the constant connection for when you pay for an internet plan?

  1. It means you can get wireless internet. If you want to use it you will need a BlackBerry data plan. I know with AT&T you can have a BlackBerry with out the data plan. The data plan start out from 30 and go up to 50 dollars.
  2. When they mention "wireless Internet" they are talking about accessing the Internet via the mobile network. That BlackBerry does not have a Wi-Fi radio. The only BlackBerrys that have a Wi-Fi radio are the Curve 8320 and the Pearl 8120.
