How does WiFi work on my Tmobile Blackberry Curve?

I got a blackberry curve with wifi, i know you can talk for free, meaning u do not use ur minutes if you are in a wifi connected area and you have Tzones wifi plan, what if you dont have Tzones wifi plan. I have wifi connection in my home and my phone connects to it, am i using my minutes or are my minutes not used cuz im using phone over the wifi connection?

1. No, the only way to keep from using plan minutes is to have the T-zone or hotspot enabled on your home's wireless internet. You can order the adapter for you network from tmobile's website. http://www.tmobile.com
2. You are using your minutes if you don't have the Hotspot @ Home plan ($10 a month extra). If you have that plan, you get free calls over Wi-Fi (any wifi, not just your home wifi). You dont need to buy any hardware for this to work. The only time you buy hardware from Tmobile is if you want their new @home service where you plug in a regular phone to their router and get unimited calls for $10 a month. This is an add-on and has nothing to do with hotspot@home which uses your existing cell phone/router. Both services sound similar and can be confusing.
