I can't get internet where I live at verizon has a wireless wifi connection that you plug right into your lapt?

I can't get internet at my house dial up is not a option verizon has a usb wireless modem for wifi anywhere as long as cell phone service is available but they run a credit check is there any where that doesn't run a credit check? Also is the wirelss modem usb wifi worth it does it work well?

1. About the credit thing you could go with someone else like AT&T or Altell maybe. Another thing you could even do if you have a fast enough phone with fast internet you could use that as a modem well your not using it. That is kinda cool i think and it works. If you don't want to do this id suggest the Card/USB or Satellite only 2 options i know of that you really have. [The card is suppose to be as fast as DSL and it does work where ever your phone is, so this is really good for traveling or business. Only thing where ever you go it will be about 60 bucks a month and you can only use one computer on it at a time per card you have. You can use it on different computers though]
2. the download speed's not great and you're capped to 1Gb a month total download? it's not a great solution
3. 1. A credit check is fairly common for any service that requires a contract. 2. Any wireless (cell phone) service is just about as slow as dial up unless you are far out in the country were the landline phones are sometimes much slower. And the cell phone service is going to be expensive. 3. I assume cable is not available in your area. Bummer. 4. If you have a phone and the phone company offers DSL that is the way to go. Not available either? Bummer again. 5. Some dialup services are capable of speeding up the data but it depends entirely where you live. This may be your only option for the money.
