When you use the wi-fi to access the internet on a verizon phone, do you have to pay for it?

Some new verizon wireless phones have the ability to use wifi instead of 3g to access the internet. So my question is Do you have to pay for browsing the internet when using your own wifi connection.

1. No as long as you make sure you have access to wifi and are connected
2. Your Wi-Fi connection is free so it would be browsing the internet on your phone connected to your Wi-Fi.
