Do you have to have 3g to use wifi on the g1?

I have ordered this phone and just found out that there is no 3g in my area. I have a wireless internet in my study(i think this is wifi). Do i need to have 3g to use this wifi instead. my wireless internet is a belkin 54g

1. No, 3G isn't required to access WiFi. As long as your phone is connecting to the internet via WiFi, you should be fine.
2. No all u do is go to ur settings and go to wireless controls. Wifi options are at the top of screen
