WiFi phones and Skype?

Has anyone used a WiFi phone OR used Skype? How do you like either or both of these? I'm wanting to get Skype, but am looking at best route to go. I like the WiFi phone idea, but know that they aren't perfected yet. So, do I just go with Skype at use it at home? The problem with that idea, however, is that I'd like to take use Skype when I travel and I don't have a laptop. (Wi-Fi phone = can connect to "any" wireless signal vs having to be sitting at your own computer). THANKS!

1. Both the same really, but do different things. main issue is security, Wifi can be easily intercepted, whilst Skype is not so easily subject to those who want to eavesdrop.
2. I well...my dad has skype but somehow he doesn't have it anymore.We[my family]wanted a WiFi phone before we got it but we ended up getting skype.Well you should get a laptop and then you could travel with it and you could have skype.I think you should get skype. Have Fun!!!!
