Does anyone use a Skype phone?
I am thinking about buying a wireless Skype phone.. Are there any that you can recommend or any that I should avoid? If anyone has a wifi Skype phone, can you tell me about it? Is it really as easy as finding a free hot spot and dialing up? Thanks.

- I've looked into it and in the US it's not good. The technology isn't up to snuff and you will never find very many "free" hotspots. ISP Skype is crappy too. There is too much of a delay. You are better off getting a cell.
- ... I haven't tested any of the Skype phones. We have both Skype and Lingo. We use Skype when we want to make a video call and Lingo for all voice calls. When we got Lingo, we disconnected the Ma Bell telephone line from the house and connected a telephone line from the Lingo box (next to my cable modem) to the house phone jack. Now we have telephone service all thru our home. Lingo is like Vontage. We live in USA and call Europe often, so for one price. No long distance charges to Canada or Western Europe. Lingo does it all. Requirements for Lingo are about the same as for Skype, a high speed connection via Internet and electric power. No special phones are required. No more bills from that expensive €¥£$itch, Ma Bell either. ...
