the belkin wifi phone for skype?

im looking at buying one, to talk to my fiance, stationed in germany., i have skype and we use it on the on the computer but i would like to have a phone that he can call when im not at the computer. 1. Will it work with my wireless internet in my house? (We have a netgear wireless router.) 2. Can you use the phone to send IMs using skype? 3. As long as i buy skype credit, the phone will work like a regular cell phone...but only work if there is a wireless connection?
