Verizon Wireless Question?

well, i have verizon wireless and im on a family plan. My parents added a line for me and got me a phone in late April 2008. I accidently broke that phone and i got a crappy new one. Now i want to get a new phone and someone told me that all i have to do is buy a new phone at the two year contract price and then just renew my contract. is that possible??? or do i have to buy the phone at retail value (which is pretty expensive)..... thanx =] my contract is up in like november of 2009!! i dont want to wait that long

1. No , that wont work. I'd get a phone off E Bay make sure it's a Verizon phone and the ESN number is "clear" then you can activate it onto your phone number.
