Can i get a replacement phone from verizon?

I have an alias from verizon wireless and i've had it for about a year now (i have a 2 year contract) verison has replaced my phone twice already because of it malfunctioning, anyways about 3 months ago the front screen cracked open, i honestly don't even know how it happend, i put it in my pocket perfectly fine and than a couple hours later i took it out and it was cracked now my phone is randomly shutting off for not reason while its in my pocket or when im even just using it im pretty sure this isnt linnked to it being cracked but if i try and ask for a replacement will they not do it since the screen is cracked??

1. They shouldn't, just tell them what happened and they should understand, just tell them about the phone shutting off..cause my old phone use to shut off all the time so i don't think the cracked screen is related.
