What will happen if I'm not home to sign for my new Verizon wireless cell phone?

I just bought a new cell phone online, and set up a plan and everything online. Anyways, all that is done with. But it says that customer signature is required upon delivery, its suppose to be delivered one to two business days, so I'm figuring Monday or Tuesday I'll get it. But I got classes all day Monday, and work later in the afternoon on Tuesday. Does anyone know what time they usually show up? Also, what will happen if I'm not here to sign for it that particular day? Will they come back the next day or what? I just want to know from anyone else who has had to deal with this. Thanks ahead of time.

1. they will try to contact u 3 times. first day then next and 3rd day. after that u have to go to post office and pick it up.
2. If you're not home, that creepy Verizon guy from the commercials will sneak in your house and roll around your furniture in his granny panties. You don't want that now, do you? Stay home!
3. You need to sign for it. Use the tracking number to see when it will arrive. If you aren't home, the delivery service (UPS, FedEx, etc) will leave a notice on your door. Sometimes, you can just go to the local depot and pick it up yourself. That would definitely avoid the whole "waiting around for the phone to arrive" thing.
4. Usually phones come by courier. The delivery person will leave a note in your mailbox or on your door explaining how to arrange for alternate delivery. Many of them will come back again if you ask them. If not it will be held for you to pick up at the couriers depot. Not a big deal.
5. They will probably just leave it. I suppose it is up to the driver, but both times i received phones from Verizon, it said that I would have to sign for them, but they both ended up getting left in our enclosed porch.
6. they will probably call you an amount of times and after that you might have to call them again and check it out.. they will prolly just make you goto some office and sign there
7. you should be able to call or go online and check on the status of your order. you might get it saturday if you are lucky.
8. ive had that problem before and what happens is if you cant get it the first day they will usually stick a note on your front door saying that was their first try to reach ...... they will usually do that 2-3 times and the last time you will have to pick it up at teh post office( btw they will also give it to somebody other than you in the house too so you could ask a family member to stay home a little while while it gets 2 your place!!!! )
9. Call the delivery company. Find out which date it's scheduled for. Call a relative or friend to be there and sign for you when it comes, if you can't cut class. If nobody is there, delivery will take it back and try another time.
10. doesnt matter.if you're not there,you aint gettin a phone[sig.req.upon delivery],so make time or i guess you are not usin' your phone.........
