Can you update phone software on LG phones?

i have an lg kf510, how can i update the software. i know on nokias you can do it but can you do it on lg phones and if so where/how?

3. Go onto the website and check that you can do it. Word of advice before you update your software. BACK EVERYTHING UP!! You will lose everything including pictures, videos, ring-tones, songs, text messages, calender appointments, notes and memos. I have learned from experience so back it all up.
