LG Wireless Phone

LG Migo Phone or a regular phone

my 9 year old niece is on my family plan, and she has the verizon LG Migo cell phone where i have programed 5 numbers that she can call in case of emergency, and she has been telling me that she really wants a reagular cell phone where she can send txt messages ect. i told her NO not yet cuz she is still to young, am i over reacting or not. my question is should i get her a regular phone or should she stay with the migo for now? i agree with you both i didn't get my first phone untill i was a in 11th grade. i only got her that phone cuz i could program 5 #s. for emergencies only.

1. she is only 9 i didnt get my 1st phone until i was 11. unless she is a SUPER responsible 9 year old i would tell her to wait. 1 - 2 years isnt actually that long.
2. i didn't get a phone since i was 16 :| i think u should explain to her that shes still too young and that that shell get one when shes older. seriously who is she gonna text at 9 years of age. how many of her friends have phones that shes gonna text !?! not tryna be hard, but in a all seriousness.
