i bought a lg cu500 cell phone off ebay?

yesterday and the battery keeps dying. should i return the phone and have to pay for shipping and risk getting another faulty phone or should i buy a new battery for the phone and hope its just the battery thats wrong w/ the phone? everthing works with the phone when the battery IS charged but the receptioon is very weak. could that be a result of a weak battery as well? thanks.

1. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like it. I would try and get a new battery from your service provider first. But you have to beware about buying phones on ebay, they are mostly just junk.
