My cell phone battery wont stay charged?

On my phone for the LG shine there is a red dot, there is also a red dot on my battery . I charge it all day and it still wont stay charged. Do I have to get a new battery or what?

1. How long you have been using this battery.Change the battery if it 3-4years old. Tip: let the battery fully discharge and then charge it to full.
2. most likely, if you recently got it, it may still be under warranty. your best bet is to go online or visit a store near you and see what the best option is.
3. That red dot is indicating that you have liquid damage. A new battery most likely will not solve your trouble. See your agent/store location for your options. The shine is not very old ...so I am guessing your line is not eligible to upgrade ...hopefully you have insurance. Liquid damage voids manufacturer warranty. I may be wrong about your upgrade eligibility...that's just a guess...so please see your store location. Sorry I can't give you better news.
