What would be the best way to charge my new LG Verizon cell phone???
What method of charging insures that the cell phone battery maintains 100%( or close to it) charge capacity???...I got the LG Verizon Envy,I think it's called... Super cell phone... Awesome extras... Holds in the hand real nice when opened... Stereo speakers, keyboard pad, 2 mega pixel smart video cam ... Thanks

- dont charge if it has two or one bars left best thing to do to conserve battery memory is to drain it if possible
- drain it before you charge it fully
- Well, the other two are right, but I think they're right for the wrong reasons. Your enV has a lithium ion battery in it. That means that the battery will remain at 100% capacity for quite some time regardless of how you treat the battery. The older nickel cadmium rechargeable batteries are what ruined the image for all rechargeable batteries. Nickel cadmium batteries had a "memory" that could develop in them and ruin the capacity of the battery early on. Lithium ion batteries don't suffer that fate. The way a lithium ion battery works is that it has a specific number of charge cycles in it. Cell phones usually have about 300 charge cycles. Every time you plug in your phone to charge, it uses up one of those cycles. So if you plug your phone in for 15 minutes, you just used a cycle. If you plug it in for 5 hours, you just used a cycle. So the best way to get the best life out of your battery is to make the best use of those individual charge cycles. If you let your battery die most of the way before you plug it in and let it charge all the way up before unplugging it, you will get the best life out of your battery.
- They say the newer batteries you can charge them anyway you'd like to top it off and that it's not to good to charge it over night.
