i have an lg cell phone and i need a new battery can i use any lg batery or do i have to but the one made for?

1. you need to use the factory battery but you can on the advice of the company use another just e mail them
2. you have to use same model battery and you can get cheaper from ebay.
3. at the dealer or an authorized cell phone dealer. or you can contact LG> you can use the old battery temporarily till you get a new one, but it has to fit, its possible it may be a different size
4. You can find it on http://www.cellularaccessory.com or ebay. If you look on http://www.cellularaccessory.com you can find out the battery number. You can also see if there are any other phones that use the same battery. I found out that my phone uses a battery that is also used in a cheap Virgin Mobile phone that Walmart sells for less than $15, so I just bought the phone and used that battery rather than paying for battery + shipping which was a couple of dollars more.
