iPhone and Verizon, and my new phone? There have been rumors of a Verizon iPhone coming out in January 2011. If this is true than for Christmas I want the money for one, so I can get it once it's released. If not I want to get a cool Android, like the Incredible HD which is set to release before the holidays. I already like iOS better, and I'm currently living with a 2 year old LG Dare, and it's a giant piece of shit. What should I do, if iphone rumors move to mid 2011, should I just hold out for it? I mean I love iOS but I don't want to get an Android then see the iphone come out for verizon and be super bummed. What to do?

Can an AT&T customer buy an unlocked verizon phone (the LG Dare)? I am currently an AT&T customer and must stay that way because it's the only service that offers reception in my area. I am purchasing a new phone and am really impressed with the specs of an LG Dare. (I looked at the LG Vu and wasn't impressed. I want a better GPS and camera than an iphone also, so please don't just suggest I look into another phone.) The Dare is only for use with Verizon. I know phones can be unlocked, but I am confused at to weather the Dare will support my AT&T sim card or not. Can someone please help me out? I don't want to pay $200 for a phone that won't work. Would I be able to use my SIM card on the Samsung Instinct (a Sprint phone)?

Verizon replacing new phone second time? I have been having bad luck with Verizon. I recently switched to them and got a new phone with the contract price from them (intensity). The phone was giving me problems so I replaced the phone with the LG Vortex. This phone is giving me problems with bluetooth (randomly disconnects). Tried doing factory restore etc, but no use. This phone is also very sluggish and has very short battery life. I called Verizon and LG and both are offering a replacement or repair option, but I do not want this phone. Verizon is not allowing me to replace the phone for the second time. I want to replace it with an iPhone, but they are making me pay the retail price... I was with verizon for only two weeks and have the Vortex for one week. Is there anything I can do?

Getting New Verizon Phone!!? Okay, I know this may be too many requirements but i want my next verizon phone to be top of the line. Verizon phone most like the iPhone? Im getting a new phone next month. My parents told me all I have to do is do chores for a month and then I get the phone but have to continue working it off and paying about $10-$15 a week. Verizon phone upgrade... Samsung Rogue or LG enV TOUCH? Right now I have the LG EnV 2. Not a bad phone but a few things bug me about it. Some of the front keys don't work anymore, it unlocks in my pocket, and when someone calls and it is in my pocket it picks up. I am due in January for an upgrade. I want to rule out the EnV 3 unless there is an option to be required to open the phone to accept calls and not just press send on the outside. Or is there an option on the EnV 2 to do that also? I think I have it narrowed down to the two phones above. I don't like the Samsung Alias 2 or the new Chocolate Touch. I also don't want to shell out for a data plane but I want to upgrade to the Connect plan. Right now I just have the $39.99 talk plan with the added text option for $9.99 a month. Which phone do you think is the better overall phone? Or is there I phone coming out in the next month or two I should wait for? Please don't tell me to get an iPhone. I already have a Touch and I have delt with AT&T service in my area. I want to stay with Verizon. Add the LG Versa in there too. That phone looks interesting. I thought with these three phones I could upgrade my plan to the "Connect" plan for $69.99 a month. That included unlimited data. I thought it would work with these three phones. I thought the seperate data plan ($29.99 a month) was extra for PDA/Blackberry phones which is why I wanted to eliminate the Droid and a Blackberry.

What to do about a stolen Verizon phone? My phone has been stolen. I called Verizon, but I was out on external hold, so I hung up.. Research for a New verizon Cell Phone? I am due for a new cell phone in May. I want to take my time looking for a good phone for me. Obviously it would be quick if I could just get the iPhone but Im with Verizon. I like to text message alot and dislike doing it with a regular phone. I need help badly, I don't know which phone to get? iPhone or LG KS20 If I cancel my plan with Verizon to get an iPhone it would cost me $771.00 Early contract cancel= $175.00 iPhone(4GB)=$500.00 AT&T plan(cheapest one)=$60.00 AT&T iPhone activation=$36.00 all equals $771.00 not including tax. If I get the LG KS20 it will supposedly cost me $800.00. Tha is where I'm stuck. What should I do? I like the both of them. Should I get an Iphone for my new phone? I currently have a piece LG that is starting to break. I've never had a smart phone or anything other than a flip phone for texting. I have verizon and I would get the unlimited data package. I've heard mixed opinions on the Iphone. Does it have great service with verizon? If I didn't get the data package can you still use wifi for free anywhere to download apps or whatever else? switching from verizon to att for iphone? i had lg vx8300 the phone died all of a sudden few days ago basically i cant turn the phone on ...it works with a charger..took the phone to verizon they examined the battery it was fine..they were unable to find the cause of the malfunction..verizon just said the phone died.. i had insurance on the phone which i canceled last week just few days before the phone died...i canceled bacause i am now eligable for a new phone .... my contract with verizon will end september 2nd called verizon to find out about the early termination fee ..they said because i am a long time customer i have to pay $175 early termination fee if i would cancel my account.. only new customer since last year are proated if they do cancel earlier... i am thinking about switching to att for the iphone release date is july 11th what should i do with verizon what options are there? mein plan is $39 a month plus fees how to proceed with att? how can i get from them a phone until i can change it to iphone? thank you

I was just shopping for a new phone plan today and I asked verizon/at&t reps and they say T-mobile is crap? What are your guys opinion on that. Does T-mobile really have that bad reception? Will verizon let me get a new phone? Ok this might be long so bear with me. Last november I got the LG Ally for my birthday from Walmart (because the Verizon store wanted over 200 dollars for it) I had the phone for six months and then it started giving me trouble. The keyboard stopped working and the screen would freeze and then the biggest problem is that when I'd plug it in to charge it, it would drain the battery instead of charging it. I took it to the verizon store and they told me to check another charger so I purchased a new one and then when I plugged it in it still wouldn't charge so i took it back to verizon and they told me to try a new battery. So they gave me a new battery for free and had it shipped to my house. I put it in and plugged it in to charge it and it worked the first time, but it died only after a couple of hours and when I went to charge it again it wouldn't charge. So I went back to the verizon store and they told me to try a new phone. I've done this process 4 times in the past seven months and it's happening again with the newest Ally I have. It usually happens under warrenty, but this one has been out of warrenty for about a month so I'm worried they won't let me get a new phone. It won't charge and the home keys won't work so it's pretty useless right now. It's charging now and it goes from 12 to 13% and then back down again. It's really aggrivating. I'd be satisfied with a new phone, but I know the same thing is going to happen in a couple months so I'd just like to get a different phone all together. My contract isn't over until next November but I won't be able to handle this phone until then lol. I've been looking at the iphone and I really want to buy it, but I don't think they'll let me get out of my contract. what do you think? thank you(:

iPhone, Blackberry Curve, LG Dare? I currently have the LG Dare with Verizon Wireless. I like the phone, but I am truly missing my Blackberry Curve. I had the Blackberry Curve for a while but my interest was sparked by the iPhone and all its cool features. I went over to AT&T and got the iPhone service, etc. Well, to my surprise, I was unhappy with the iPhone. I returned the iPhone within 3 days of opening service. I did not like the fact that (1) you were forwarded to a site to enter a code and password to look at a picture message AND (2) the push for e-mail was not what I was hoping for. I gather that AT&T is releasing a new OS system (3.0) that will allow MMS, a better system for push e-mail, and updated GPS. Now, I have the LG Dare which is a nice phone. I have no complaints with it at all other than you can't view an e-mail as you would on the Blackberry. I currently have the VZW VPack which is $15/month and includes unlimited web browsing, GPS use, and mobile e-mail. WOULD YOU: (1) Keep the Dare and not be able to view full e-mails. ($15/month package I currently have) (2) Go back to the Blackberry Curve (which I still have in the closet - $30/month package for Blackberry PLUS I'd have to pay an EXTRA $9.99/month to have turn-by-turn GPS) (3) Go BACK to the iPhone (if AT&T does release OS 3.0 to allow MMS & fix e-mail push) My contract with Verizon is up in February 2010. What is a good phone for me? I currently have the samsung impression. I like it alot but i want something new. What Verizon phone should I get, tough decision? I have the LG Voyager and I'm thinking about getting the EnV Touch, because my contract is up in November, and I will be eligible for a new phone. If I get a phone, I will not be eligible for 2 years. However, I have FiOS, and on the voyager, you can use remote DVR to record shows and stuff. On the EnV touch, you can't use it. You can get remote DVR from Get It Now, but I'm not sure if it will work on an EnV touch. Can someone with an EnV touch see if they can download "FiOS Remote DVR from the Get It Now? It is free, I just want to see if it works. I am also holding off on making a decision because I have heard unconfirmed reports on the internet and from Verizon employees, that the iPhone is coming to Verizon in 2010. What should I do? Please, I have narrowed it down to getting a new Voyager or the EnV touch. No other phones.

My new LG env3 seems to be randomly restarting its self? I purchased the LG env3 yesterday, late afternoon. My old phone was from dinosaur days. Okay, so not REALLY, but when I purchased it 3 years ago it was already pretty out of style. Its so old that the verizon stores, radio shack, walmart...nobody carried the chargers and my cat chewed mine up (so I was left with only my car charger). I had an upgrade for a long time that I hadnt used, so I figured rather than finding the charger online - I'd go and just do my upgrade. I'm probably the only 22 year old not excited about getting a new cell phone! The thing is that I NEVER had a problem with my old LG phone. I got service everywhere...I couldnt go online and it had no fancy keypad but I was able to make calls and texts, all I thought I wanted to do on my phone. My fiance has the iphone and is always bragging about going on the internet. I thought it was pretty dumb - until yesterday when I accessed facebook from my cell phone for the first time. I fell in love!! Then my e-mail!! ... as I finished up typing a paragraph back (just getting used to typing on the full key-board with my thumbs)... THE PHONE RANDOMLY TURNED OFF!?!??? It had 2 bars of battery left. There was no "Low Battery Warning" or any other message that popped up before or after it randomly restarted (Its like it turned on, without being turned off first??). I thought that maybe it being a new phone I pushed something and didnt realize it, but it did this about 3 more times. I'm really upset and dont know if this is something that happens with all of the evn3's? Its really early in the morning so I cant call the store yet - but when they open I'm certianly going to call them and let them know I'm comming in for a new phone.. But is my new env3 going to do the same thing???

Should i get the iphone 3gs but i have verizon i will have to terminate my contract someone help? I have a verizon wireless contract for 2 years my contract is up in may of 2010 but i am having so many problems with them i have the lg voyager which my battery did not last me a day and the phone was falling apart they sent me a refurbished phone and i had to pay 30 bucks for the battery and i went to them to day and they said they could terminate my contract but i would have to get a new phone with a new 2 year contract and i dont want to do that so i went to best buy and they have the iphone 3gs 16gig for 200 and the 90 buck plan a month which includes the internet unlimited text and 450 min of talk. now i am tempted to get that but verizon said that they will charge me 150 bucks to terminate my contract that i have with them so i dont know if i should do it and terminate the contract or keep my verizon phone until next year but i dont know if it will last cause my battery only last may 3 phone calls 10 min each and 30 text and it is about to die i dont know what to do they iphone is nice but expensive and i also will have to terminate my verizon contract for 150 anybody have any ideas on how i can get terminate the contract but not have to pay 150?

Best internet phone for me? Hello, I need a new phone but not sure whats good these day. Usually i just want my phone to be a phone but i got real nice GPS recently & want to compliment it with an internet phone for when i'm out on long rides on my Ducati. I work with computers all day so It wont be used much, but when I need it I want it to work well. Here is my wish list from most importaint to least... 1) Good & fast internet browsing experience. (3G maybe, i think that is new good stuff right.) I want most websites to render & work well, even though i would mostly use it to look up info when i need it on the go, like googling things most likely. 2) Good keypad, i hate trying to text someone on my cheesy old LG phone. QWERTY probably or at least full keyboard. Touch screen vs buttons is not that importaint as long as it works well. 3) decent phone quality & bluetooth enabled, want to be able to use it with my Garmin Zumo GPS. I don't talk on my phone that much but I use it as my primary phone. 4) I like verizon network, but i just want it to work anywhere, doesnt have to be verizon as long as its works well (I live in Philly) 5) Phone price isnt an issue but wouldnt want to pay over $100 a month for plan, 75 would be better. Anything over 100 would be a waste for me cause i wont use it enough to get my $$$s worth. I was thinking some options would be BlackBerry, Google phone, iPhone, but maybe there are others that would be better suited for me. Not a big apple fan, hate that you can't change the battery in an iPOD, i feel like they design them to become obsolete in 2 years on purpose. which VERIZON phone should i get? i will not be switching to AT&T or anyone else. so don't say i should get an iphone or something. my new every 2 comes in about 2 months. so i am looking up phones and researching them. i currently have an env2 which is okay... i've gone through 5 of them and right now the whole front of it does not work. but other than that it's been a pretty solid phone. i'm 19 and a college student. and i'm not sure if i want a touch screen phone or not. i do. but i tend to drop my phones (on accident obviously) i always tell myself that with new phones that i wont drop them but it happens. so i figure a touch screen wont be good for that. (although i do have insurance so verizon will replace my broken phones for new ones -until like 3 months before i'm due for an upgrade) the phones i like are the: samsung alias 2 -flip phone/small -will fit in pocket :) but no touch screen/kinda simple samsung rogue -great phone (my mom has this phone)/has great reviews on website/touch screen but touch screen may not be a good thing. other than that no cons. Why does tmoble seem to be on the bottom end of the phone business? I see these new exciting phones coming out each week, and attached to the announcement is exclusively through sprint, verizon, etc. T-mobile seems to never have a top of the line phone coming out. What verizon phone to get? ? I have an LG voyager right now and have had it for about a year now. I am on a premium family plan so I think that limits me from some of the smart phones such as the Storm, Omnia and htc touch pro. I have read a lot of reviews on all the phones out now. Is it worth getting an LG Voyager on Verizon? Let me explain my situation. My current 2-year contract with Verizon is expiring this month. I'm on a family plan now but am going to get my own contract this time so I can get what I want. Currently, I'm using a LG VX9800 (similar to the enV, but scaled back a bit). I went to look at phones today and was shown the LG Voyager. After looking at some other phones, I figured that this would be the best for me. However, I didn't buy because I wanted to do some research first. I didn't realize exactly how much it can do, that people are saying that it is better than the iPhone. Here's the problem. That's actually making me wonder if I really need all that this phone has. I currently have a 1st generation iPod Touch, and can do a lot with that when I have a WiFi network (which is only at work & maybe some businesses or friends' houses). I mainly use that for music but also have some apps on it. With the new phone I get, I want to have the QWERTY keyboard and a decent size one, and the LG Voyager seemed to have the best keyboard. I won't text too much (maybe 25 a month, enough to have a small plan) but I like having the keyboard available. I will also be using it for searching the web when I'm out and don't have another way to get on the web. What I will probably have is the basic 450 minute package, a small text messaging plan, and the V Cast package for unlimited internet usage. So, here are the two main questions: 1.) What is the internet like on this phone? Is it like a regular browser (something similar to what an iPhone/iPod Touch has) or a Verizon-based browser with limited browsing? 2.) Is it worth getting the Voyager even though I already have an iPod Touch? I'm a tech guy, and I don't mind that the cost will be about $100 after the rebate. However, I don't want a simple phone. I want something that has a lot available, but I'm afraid I'm getting something that I already have. Actually, this would be in addition to my iPod Touch. I don't plan to use the LG Voyager as a music player. Plus, I don't really want a Blackberry Storm. I don't want that much.

I have liked what I have seen so far of the LG Dare being that it is pretty similar to the iPhone. I'd love to get an iPhone because of what it provides but I'm not a fan of AT&T and Apple. Is there anything in the future coming out on Verizon that is similar to the iPhone that I should wait for or should I get the LG Dare which I hear will only cost me $100 when I can upgrade on the 25th. Thanks for the advice in advance! I have heard that Verizon has shunned the Google Android for a LiMo phone. Can anyone tell me about that? Thanks!

How much are verizon phones? I was going to get an iphone but i decided to stick with verizon and their upgrade. Ok So i got a lg flip phone like two years ago in august and now its time for an upgrade. I would ask my mom but she is not home right now. I have three lines in my family phone plan. My moms line number 1, my dad 2 ,and me 3. So anyways they both got a new phone yesterday. My moms upgrade was 100 dollars and well for my dad his phone is free. What phone should I get? Its been about two years since I have a Verizon Samsung Phone. It works great and all, but I think its time for something a little different. I orginally wanted to purchase the Blackberry Storm, but heard a lot of negative things about. I was looking for another phone, such as an LG phone, but I wasn't really sure if it was right for me. Anyway, the question is, should I stay with Verizon or should I get the new iPhone? **I need something for texting, e-mail, music, etc.

Requesting YOU OPINION on purchasing a new CELL PHONE ... Would APPRECIATE your HELP! (Details follow)? First, THANKS for reading this! We're off to a good start! I'm in my mid-40's and work as a Pharmacy/Pharmacology Instructor. What I'm saying is I'm NOT rich! I've had the same LG flip phone for almost five years. Time to upgrade! (They don't even make the battery for it any longer!) .... About me - Typical guy . . . love gadgets! However, while I can take care "delicate" items, it's not my strength ... but I DO try! Most teenagers know MUCH more about these new cell phones than me! Here's the dealeo: I was never big on texting. I think it's a fad. BUT, as I moved up in my job, I'll be getting more texts and sending more. As of today, I have to pay for each text! That's adding up! I do NOT use multimedia/Internet, listen to music, etc on my current outdated phone mainly because it's outdated. But I wouldn't MIND! However, that is NOT important. I will NOT be using it for ANY gaming. What I'd be using the new phone for includes calls/voicemails (obviously), and texting. But MAYBE I'll find some cool features like GPS that I'll use because I have them. (I know that app is extra $$). CARRIER: I have VERIZON and like it--no dropped calls and I like in a valley. I'd prefer to stay with Verizon, but that's NOT a definite. CONTRACT: I'm well over my 2-year contract. I'd prfer NOT to sign a contract b/c there are so many changes that maybe I'll like a phone exclusive to another carrier before 1 or 2 years. But I WILL sign one. Besides, it really DECREASES the $ of the phone! I THINK I'd LIKE the new i-Phone 3Gs (AT&T), but my credit STINKS. I'm currently on a friends/family deal with Verison as most of my f&f have Verizon. MANY people I know (even IN law enforcement) have jail-broken their new i_phones. LOTS of cool apps for "free!" ... My son has ENV and likes it. It's "okay", but I like the ENV-Touch better. I also like the Samsung Omnia (sp?)...I know that's a Smart-Phone, but I could add stuff to it later. Any comparison to that and the iPhone 3GS?? TOUCH SCREEN: LOVE the way it looks...just another gadget! I heard they break easily. How true is that with "average/normal handling IF I use a case? My question for YOU: I'm overwhelmed with how many phones are available! But I need to get one within a couple of days. (My phone is almost dead). Verizon/iPhone??????????? Hi. I have Verizon right now and have a pretty nice phone an LG Dare. But I've been hearing rumors lately about Verizon getting the iPhone. If we didn't have the two year contract my Dad said we would probably switch over to AT&T so we could get the $99 iPhone. But since we can't, we have to wait.
