How do u switch from blackberry phone connection to wifi connection>? I want to know cause i have a blackberry with wifi and wanted to know if it switches by itself or do u have to do it maually
Will the Wifi on a blackberry still work when I discountinue the phone service? We moved and our cell phone provider's service is terrible by us. If I cancel our contract, will my blackberry Wifi still work, or does the phone need to be activated? I am not talking about the package, just plain on wifi, like we have in our home. Thanks!

Using Wifi with Blackberry Curve 8320 (or any wifi phone for that matter)? Today I went into an AT&T store to ask about using the wifi on the blackberry curve 8320. I asked if I would have to pay extra if I wanted to use only the wifi to connect to the internet, and the guy (who was a jerk about it) said yes you do because wifi is only there to strengthen an internet connection, not so you can "cheat the system". He said that even with an unlocked Curve (or any other wifi phone) you wouldn't be able to use the wifi feature to get free internet. Is this true? Or is it what I think it is and the clerk at the cell phone store is just saying that so you buy a data plan? that's what i was thinking lol. stupid cellular companies

Why is my iPod and phone wifi not working? Ever since I moved, there was a problem with my wifi. So I got a cable to connect from my modem to my Mac. Still, the wifi and even the Internet on my Mac was a bit shaky. But now, after a month, the wifi isn't working at all. My iPod Touch and BlackBerry wifi is totally not working at all times. How can I permanently delete wifi from my phone? For various security reasons I cannot have a phone in work that has wifi on it. In a month I'm going away on vacation and where I'm going I will have no cell phone service (meaning a mobile network) however as crazy as it sounds the campground I'm staying in has wireless internet service so I will be able to use my laptop with no issue. However unfortunately I have to be on several conference calls over the two week span so instead of making a trip into town just to get poor at best cell phone service, I would like to figure out a way to make phone calls just using the WIFI that's in the park from my brand new blackberry bold 9650. How do I get my BlackBerry phone to connect to the internet without wifi? I have tried going to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table and registering, but no message has come through about it. I'm not looking into spending around $40 a month for internet to be put on my phone. Why does my Blackberry keeps disconnecting from my wifi? I live somewhere where unless i use my wifi connection,my cellphone is basically useless. Blackberry flip Wifi won't connect? I have received a Blackberry Flip phone for my birthday. I have AT&T but it is an unlocked phone. The phone has a wifi feature and is able to connect to my home network. It will find my home network, ask for my WEP code for security, accurately put it in, and it will say connection successful. However, I try to connect to the internet but I get the error message "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider." The WiFi router recognises that the phone is connected and shows the correct Mac & IP addresses. On the manage connections screen i get a checked box Wi-Fi network name in green however, it has a white dash where the green check mark or red X should be. I have called AT&T. First they said I had to register the new phone with the IMEI. Didn't work. Then they said I needed a data plan if I wanted it to work but I refused to purchase one because I believe that I do not need it since it is WIFI and not the data plan. I called my Internet Provider and they had terrible service, they passed me from representative to tech expert until they hung up on me. My browser configuration is on "Hotspot Browser" and there is not other options to choose from. I know the wifi in my home works because my friend with an Iphone connected to it and used the internet successfully. I have tried everything and I am frustrated. I am usually really good with electronics but I feel this is a problem that is very uncommon. I thought about it and I think it has something to do with the fact that this phone, though it is unlocked, is meant for T-Mobile users and I am using an AT&T sim chip (because I have AT&T). Maybe I really do need a data plan with AT&T for it to work. I don't have a plan and previously, it would charge me as I go. Please, any solutions or help would be appreciated

I would like to buy a REFURBISHED Blackberry, but want to know could I occasionally use it with my DSL at home if I wanted to. I would really like to have a PDA/phone, is it worthwhile if I don't use the internet features, email, texting, etc?

Can I configure the Blackberry email client on the phone to pull emails without the service? I am currently using a Nokia cellphone which has an built email client. I configured the client in order to "pull' emails from my pop email accounts which I do through wifi access. T-Mobile Wifi Internet Charges Blackberry? I recently got a T-Mobile contract phone - a Blackberry 8320 Curve. I pay for the basic Individual Plan and don't have any data plans, but I know the phone has Wifi. So I accessed the internet using my wifi connection at home and the blackberry browser - does anyone know if T-Mobile will charge me? I cannot see any charges on my t-mobile account, but I don't know if its just not telling me. If it is free? then what is the use in the T-Mobile Hotspots plan? I called up T-mobile yesterday and they said no charges have been billed to my account for internet usage. Usining wifi and not my bb plan on blackberry 8320 Hi everyone, i have been searching around the net for a long time and couldnt find an answer. I have a blackberry 8320 on the rogers network in canada. I have a blackberry plan (300 mb). I want to use the wifi on my phone to surf the net instead of my blackberry plan sometimes. I have my wifi turned on...can connect to the router (i see the SSID) but i am getting a yellow circle instead of a green check mark. When i try to use the browser it wont' work...says unable to connect and the wifi symbol is greyed out. Note I turned my data off when trying to use the wifi. When i have my data turned on the wifi symbol turns black and the browser works...am i using my data plan though? Hope this isnt too confusing... :S Im on a blackberry BIS plan for 300 mb...how much do most ppl use a month... i dont surf much, just use msn and a few programs? Hope someone can help!!!! thanks!
