Does the netgear skype wifi phone have the same area coverage as the traditional cellphone carriers?

I just recently bought a Netgear WiFi phone with skype SPH200W (no pc required). routers and adapter needed? I can not figure out how to use this netgear phone. Do I need a router and an adapter ? Is there anyone out there that knows alot about this phone and could help me?

Anyone use Netgear wifi or Philips, GE dect voip phone for Skype? Please share your experience with these phones. I need to get a cordless phone asap and I don't know what to get. I am reading mixed reviews on these phones. Netgear sph200, sph100, Philips voip321, voip841, GE dect 6.0 phone. Wifi phone would be good if it really works well like they claim, but I need a cordless phone to get/make phone calls using Skype account. TIA

How do I get an Italian number for a Skype cell? I'm living in CA right now, but I'm going to Italy for a few months and I want to buy the Skype Netgear WiFi Phone. Once I buy the Skype Netgear WiFi Phone how do I set it up with an Italian number while I'm in CA? (Do I just buy a "Skype To Go Number" even for a cell?) Thanks for your help!!!

Are Skype phones eligible for free, unlimited Skypeout? Many of the products I have seen make it sound as if you can have free, unlimited calls - as long as it's to another PC using Skype. But if you have the unlimited $2.95/mo plan, can you assign it to D-Link's USB adapter, the Netgear WiFi phone or any of the other models, or do they use per-minute billing? Thanks in advance.

the belkin wifi phone for skype? im looking at buying one, to talk to my fiance, stationed in germany., i have skype and we use it on the on the computer but i would like to have a phone that he can call when im not at the computer. 1. Will it work with my wireless internet in my house? (We have a netgear wireless router.) 2. Can you use the phone to send IMs using skype? 3. As long as i buy skype credit, the phone will work like a regular cell phone...but only work if there is a wireless connection?

Skype phone which works on battery only? Hi I am looking for a skype phone which would work with home internet connection without electric power like ordinary home phones which works even if there is no electricity in house skype mobiles need wifi connection which need a router which required electricity so it is not an option. Netgear or edge skype phones are also on wifi so it is not an option either What I am looking for is a skype phone which would connect directly to the internet wire(ADSL connection). I think adsl modem is an essntial thing but i am looking for a solution and not really good at these things . iphone 3G wifi not connecting.? when i go to network settings on my iphone it shows wi-fi connected and tick in fornt of my SSID. but in the home screen no wifi signals showing. and when i try skype calls no wi-fi working. in my router (NETGEAR) settings page it shows IP address of my iphone under attached devices, i reset my phone network settings but it doesnt solve the problem. Please help.

How do I get my wi-fi working again? My dad accidentally made the wifi work so it only works on the desktop computer. I can't connect to it work my psp or the wii. It won't even detect a connection. The router is still plugged in and functioning. And skype phones are all still working. But I don't know why I can't connect from anything else? It's a netgear router. Please helpp:( Also,I can't get to the configuration page. So i dont know the WEP...kinda sucks. It would really help if i could get to the page but its not workingg? Should i try from the admin account? bitdefender is my virus protection.
