NO camera phones in Schools In WI? at the yearly speech from our principal at my school she stated that you cannot have a camera phone. later during questions about the speech i pointed out to her that most new cellphones have cameras and her answer was then you cant have a cell phone. Then she stated that it is a LAW in Wisconsin that YOU MAY NOT HAVE A CAMERA PHONE AT SCHOOL. Is this a Law or just a bunch of crap??? I need real and serious answers because i have a Motorola RAZR V3 and that is the only phone i have and i am not going to buy a new phone just for school. Also if you could provide a link to an OFFICIAL UNITED STATES OR WISCONSIN GOVERNMENT PAGE that you got this information from that would be great. oh and my mom is an administrator and it is not a policy

Is there a way to take pictures off my Motorola L6 without reducing the size or quality? I have the latest version of motorola phone tools but when i take pictures off of my Motorola L6 phone it reduces the size to the size of my L6 screen and it reduces the quality etc. so basically I'm wasting the 1.3 megapixel camera i have on there. PLEASE someone tell me if there is another way to do it whilst retaining all of the quality and size. Please just serious answer!! I don't want people saying that they don't know because that is just a waste of my time.

Can I safely switch Sim cards between cell phones? How about transferring pictures to iPhone via Sim? My two phones are 1. a 2006 Motorola Razr V3 and 2. a 2009 iPhone 3GS. I got some contacts that I typed up on my computer already (took a while), and now I want to transfer a picture I took with the camera phone on the Razr, either to the iPhone or my laptop, and my laptop isn't connecting to the phone. So, can I use the Sim card as a "flash drive" and send it to the iPhone? [I was instructed to take my old Sim and put it in the new iPhone.] Also, I might want to come back to the Razr later when I get a new laptop and it does respond to the phone (so I can transfer the picture). Will moving around Sim cards do damage to the iPhone's internet and calling abilites? Thx!

Motorola Atrix 4G (Ginerbread) or HTC Inspire 4G (Gingerbread)? Im due for an upgrade at AT&T in October and im a very big tech geek so i try to pick my phones with caution. im having a really hard time choosing the Moto Atrix 4G or the HTC Inspire 4G both running Gingerbread. Here are my pros and cons for both the phones: Motorola Atrix 4G Pros: Dual-core- super fast! 1900 mah battery- lasts a whole day 16 gigs of space- more than enough space q'HD display- looks really nice and crisp Front Facing Camera- vidoe chatting :) Bonus: Finger print scanner- thats really cooool Cons: 4" Display- sick of small displays because of my big hands Plastic body- more easy to break AT&T's fake 4G Network- horrendous download/upload speeds 5 Megapixel camera- good but not awesome HTC Inspire 4G Pros: 4.3" Display- beautiful big screen for my big hands :P Aluminum Unibody design- sleek and very nice design HTC Sence- awesome customizable UI Less bloatware- not so many pre-installed stuff 8 Megapixel camera- really good picture taking Cons: 1230 mah battery: WARNING: this battery is sooo small and bad, it doesnt last 5-6 hours and im a heavy user so take into consideration No Front Facing Camera- a front facing camera is nice to have Single Core- phone can get laggy at times 4 gigs of space- not enough for my indie rock collection AT&T's Fake 4G Network- horrendous download/uplaod speeds Background Info: I am 60% leaning on the Motorola Atrix 4G because of its almost breath taking dual-core processor and sick specs but the HTC Inspire 4G is so nice and big (for my big hands :D) and HTC Sence is divine. Are the basic Cell Phones dead and smartphones are the Future? Are the basic cell phones really dead, those that has a nice camera, can go online, text upload/download ringtones and pics. But does not have apps and don't require a data plan. Right now I have heard or seen what new that have replace the Sony Ericsson K800i, Sony Ericsson C902, Motorola RAZR V3, Motorola KRZR and other non samartphones. Are there any newer non smartphones that flip or not or it the end for that. Even those third part mom and pop cell phone stores seem to only have mostly smartphones. Even IF you have for it yourself at $500, and it not part of the provider's pick. I'm some knows how to use a smartphone, but have no use for one, and just want to switch to a newer basic cell phone that is like the Sony Ericsson C902 later on. And most older adults like seniors don't know how to use a smartphone at all. It already hard enough with the latest basic cell phone for them. Of course it going to be different in 10, but the rest of this year and the next three years is the basic cell phone dead and the way to go is a smartphone, Well for people who need switch, so that their current cell don't suddenly break. IF they have been using it for three and half years to five yeas already.

Wet Motorola Phone with White Screen? So I dumped water down my front by accident, and my phone was in my pocket. Like an idiot, I didn't take the battery out after seeing that it was initially fine (since it's gotten wet so many times with no issues!). Then about 10 minutes later I take it out to find nothing but a white screen. So I shut it down, battery out, in the rice overnight. The next morning it started up fine and has been working for a few days just dandy, save for the screen flickering a little. Then today I tried to put it on camera mode and it suddenly went almost completely white. I can still read the screen, but barely. The front screen works just fine, and the phone functions normally. Could there still be water in it? Is it worth putting back in the rice? I would take it apart but I don't have a small enough hex key.

What are some good smart phones for at&t? For the past two years i've been using the LG Xenon and now my contract will be up in August so i'd like to upgrade to a smart phone. My current service is at&t and I can't pick which smart phone I want. For awhile I was choosing between the Motorola Atrix and the Samung Infuse 4G and later chose the Motorola Atrix but after reading some reviews I wasn't sure anymore. I would like a smart phone with a great battery I won't have to charge everyday, with fast internet with possible adobe flash, with a good camera with flash, and that's touch screen. NO IPHONES! HTC Thunderbolt Vs. Motorola Droid Bionic? I am a 24 year old RN who is back in school to get my MSN. I currently have the Droid X and I am eligible to upgrade in a month (but not in a huge hurry since I have the Droid X). I absolutely LOVE my Droid X. It is so fast, so smooth, battery is good, and it never crashes. But I am a tech nerd and love to have the "latest and greatest." The two phones seem similar. Both are 4G and both have the front-facing camera enabling you to Skype with video (both big upgrades over the Droid X). What I do on the phone: -browse the Internet -watch videos -use apps -gChat -skype -text -phone calls What I really want is to stream Netflix live on my phone, but unfortunately the Android phones cannot do that yet. Anyone know if the Droid Bionic might have the capability? You couldn't pay me to get the iPhone (smaller screen, no Flash, no desktop widgets, etc). Thoughts anyone?

Should I WAIT or Should I Just Get A Phone NOW? Cause I Am IN LOVE With This Phone? Should I wait to get the Motorola U9 that is probably gonna come out in like January 2008? do u think at&t will get better android phones (than captivate)? so im kinda stuck with at&t for a while. it sucks. if i had verizon, i cud get the droid x and if i had sprint, i cud get the evo. but so far i think the best android at&t has right now is the samsung captivate. i actually think its a good phone. it has a 1ghz processor, and a super amoled screen, plus it looks good. but the thing i dont like is that its a 5 mp camera and not 8mp, which isnt exactly a deal breaker, but also that it doesnt have flash, which is kind of a disappointment. but the biggest thing im worried about is that how good does samsung make androids? i currently have a samsung impression. although it seemed ok at first, later on it got many problems. it freezes sooooo much. i can rarely take pictures or listen to music because it restarts every time i try to use camera/music player. my sister also has the same phone and altough hers is not as messed up as mine, it still has problems, like sometimes calls simply dont work. and also sometimes texts just never send. this makes me worried about buying samsung. i hope that its just a problem with the impression and not all their phones. another thing im worried about is android os updates. i guess samsungs becoming one of the biggies with android, but its not as streamlined as htc or motorola. what if the captivate doesnt get updates? so i want to get the captivate although the camera/flash isnt that good, but im not sure about the phone quality/ long lastivity, and the android updates. so are there other android phones coming out to at&t or are there rumored ones? and any that are worth waiting for?

7-year-old phone won't stay charged long... battery or phone? It's actually a really nice phone.... motorola flip with photo and video camera.... just a little old now. It's been treated fairly well. But lately it wont stay charged for more than a day, and sometimes when people call it doesn't ring and like an hour later it might say missed call (and yes the volume is all the way up). Do you think it is the battery that's just old or the phone is junk? Also, do you think Batteries Plus would have a new battery?

The right AT&T QWERTY messaging phone (by my standards)? I'm going to get a new cell phone for Christmas and although I thought I knew which one I wanted, I'm still a little confused. My main competitors are: 1) Samsung Impression 2) LG Neon 3) LG Xenon 4) Samsung Solstice 5) Motorola Karma (The ones closer to the top are the ones I am considering the most) I've also just recently seen some new phones Samsung has come out with, the Samsung Mythic and the Samsung Flight. I really, really, REALLY value a good QWERTY keyboard in a phone, and good T9 predictive texting is also a plus. I want at least a 2 MP camera in my phone, because I'm not going to be taking my other camera with me everywhere I go. Also, I want a durable phone with minimal problems (who doesn't?). I don't mind touch screen phones at all, and I don't mind touch QWERTY phones either, just as long as they don't make an unecessary amount of mistakes. I'm not quite sure If I need 3G or not, seeing as I'm not going to be getting a data plan. I may upgrade to a data plan later, but I'm unsure about 3G and what it actually does. Finally, I would like a phone which has a fairly simple interface which is easy to learn. Please list the phone (or phones) that you think I would like the best! What type of phone should I get? I'm with verizon wireless and I'm able to get a new phone :D I'm on the two year agreement thingy or whatever it's called; I don't know it's my mom that chooses the plans or whatever. I don't know if all cell phones do that, because I don't know that much about cell phones xP Not something REALLY BIG. Like I have the iPod classic, and that's really huge >.< Definitely not for a cell. I also want it to be able to have a lot of internal space and be able to have a lot of external space. And I would prefer for the pictures to be good quality, and definitely the video to be at least long. I use my cell as my video camera, and 13 seconds is too short (razor only takes 13 seconds video T_T). Razr V3 Vs W490 from T-Mobile!!? Hello, Yahoo Friend My Razr V3(Magenta Pink) was stolen out of my SUV today. So Upset. I phone T-Mobile and a claim was process to send out another one. So a couple hours late a T-Mobile sale person called and ask my if I wanted to upgrade my phone to a Motorola W490!!!! Not knowing anything about the phone I said I would phone them tomorrow to let them know if I wanted an upgrade or the Razr V3. I would love to upgrade for free of course!!! Not sure of the phone. Does anyone know anything about the phone such as feature, camera, any general info would be great. What is the "best" tablet as of 3/4/2012? Hello Yahoo! Answers, I am looking to finally purchase a tablet, and am hoping for a little help in picking one out. I know "best" is always subjective, but I am finding a ton of outdated "top 10" lists and guidelines as to what tablet actually does what and there are so many different versions out there I don't even know which one is the "latest" from a certain manufacturer. I would like a Wi-Fi tablet that I can use for browsing the Internet, and book reading, and video playback, and light gaming. It needs a camera, long battery life, fast, and ability to attach a USB drive or storage card to it. It needs to be a 10" tablet, because without ever owning one, I think a 7" tablet is not big enough for my needs. And it should be at max $500. I think it has to be an Android tablet. And it should be upgradable to the latest and greatest "Ice Cream Sandwich" some way. If I have to "root" it, it needs an "easy" process to do it, because I am new to the rooting thing. I would love the idea of having all of Windows available to me but I don't know if there will be any Windows 8 tablets coming out anytime soon that would be worth the wait? Or any tablets at all that are coming soon that would be worth the wait? Tablets I have looked at include the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Motorola XOOM, Motorola Droid Xyborg, Asus EE Pad Transformer, HP Touchpad I do not want to touch an iPad of any version. I don't have any Apple programs so the whole "experience" to me is pointless. I don't like their closed app store, or anything about them so please don't recommend an iPad. I read that the Asues EE Pad Transformer was really good (it sounded amazing) but its Purple. Don't they have any other colors? Sorry, I just do not feel confident enough to carry around a purple computer with me. Why did they make it purple? Or it just light from the screenshots I was looking at? I was also reading that it had problems with Wifi -which could be a problem for a Wifi only tablet - and that this was caused because of the way it was built so that it wasn't fixable with a software update. HP Touchpad - What is it? Is it Windows? Or Android? Or something else? I can't even look at the "official" site for it because its sold out... at least let me look at it, HP!! Motorolas - not sure which one is newer XOOM or Droid Xybot. I have the Droid 3 and love it, so I am really open to Motorola products, but a lot of places say "There are much better tablets for the money" (but don't say which ones!!) I have had Samsung phones and have been MAJORLY disappointed in them, yet I have had Samsung MP3s and TVs and other electronics that have been good quality. I desperately need a smartphone with Touchscreen (preferably capative) with good display technology (preferably amoled) having good n latest mobile os (android 2.1 or 2.2, window7, symbian latest edition, etc) with a secondary camera for video calling. Also it must have 3G with wifi along with gps. Its screen size should be minimum 3.2 inches and from a reputed brand (Nokia, Samsung, L.G, Motorola, htc). I could at the most shell out Rs15000. If prices of any such mobile is expected to crah, then please do mentioin the expected price ( after 3 months). If possible, mention even the drawbacks of selected phone. THNX IN ADVANCE!

Which android phone should I get? Hey. So my parents have been talkin bout getting a cell phone plan. I am definitely gonna convince them to go with Verizon (the best =D). And I was wondering which phone to get. I have been thinking a lot about the Motorola Droid and the Droid Incredible. I am looking at these phones from Wirefly. On a side note, is Wirefly a safe website to get our phones from? Anyways, my dad is probably gonna get an Incredible or the X, so that would be bout 200 and my mom isn't really big on technology and stuff so probably a simple free phone. Me, I'm pretty big on texting, using the internet, and taking pictures. I am aware of my parents budget and everything so I am thinking that the Moto Droid would cover me since it's free at Wirefly. I know that the Incredible is a better phone and that there will probably be many more phones coming from HTC, but should I get the moto droid now and just wait and see what else they come out with and upgrade later? Other questions concerning the moto droid: Is it durable? (drop it a few times will it break easy?) Is it even close to be as good as the Incredible? Why is everybody saying that apple dissapointed with iphone 4s? motorola droid has came out with 3 phones and they all have looked the exact same as the first one all they did was add a better camera and better proccessor and thats about it, and the same for the samsung galaxy s2 it looks the exact same as the first one and all they added was a better camera and dual core proccessor and the screen is a litter more colorful and thats it. apple also left the design the same and added a better camera and dual proccessors and the iphone has the highest resolution screen on any cell phone out and the iphone 4s also got siri which is a sick voice software. and also apple fixed the antennas so iit gets the best possible signal and ios is way better software than android, android looks and feels like a boring and ugly software. and also for 4g that stuff is barely available anywhere sprint and att barely has 4g anywhere and its 4g isnt even faster than att 3g only verizons 4g lte is good but its barely available anywhere and isnt really ready to actually be called a real 4g network, every carrier isnt expecting great 4g coverage until late 2012.

Computer / nokia illiterate and need help? I have been trying for months now to get my nokia PC Suite to reconize my phone when I attach it. Today I decided to spend a little time following the trouble shooting steps etc etc,.. I have a USB hub with several things attached.. my ipod charger, my digital camera cord, my cell phone cord etc.. As suggested I went into device manager then to Univ. seriel bus controllers to check things out and I have as follows.. (3) listed as VIA Rev 5 or later USB host controllers, (1) standard enhanced PCI to USB host controller, (2) generic USB hubs, (3) USB root hubs, (1) USB 2.0 root hub, (1) USB printing support, & 1 unknown device. When checking properties everything says they are working except the unknown device. I am jumping to the assumption it's the cell connection since it's the only thing not working. It gives me the option to update drivers then when I tell it to it scans forever and says it cant find it. Am I even on the right track here?? * 1 hour ago * - 3 days left to answer. Additional Details 1 hour ago I assumed if the nokia PC was up to date the drivers would be included in that? Like I said am totally illiterate so I could be wrong ... 55 minutes ago Just followed Computer docs advice.. only thing listed as a "problem device? is motorola drivers.. havn't had a motorola in ages.. but now I know why that connecting to the computer never worked either 49 minutes ago And I just tried downloading my phone drivers seperately .. it said the ones I was attempting to download were older then the ones in Nokia PC Suite so they wouldn't install.. grr..

Samsung Transform Ultra or Galaxy Prevail? I have boost mobile and have been looking to upgrade my phone but can't decide between these two. I currently have a Motorola Rambler, so it's not like it needs to have all the latest and greatest features, but I do want quite an upgrade. I mostly just talk and text, but I would like better email interface and capabilities, and an actually usable internet feature would be nice too. Good camera also a plus, but other than that let me know if either has any other cool or useful features. No preference in the fact that one is touch screen and one has a qwerty keyboard either. Am I spoiled?????????? It started last Christmas, when I got a camcorder. I got my dad a digital camera because I noticed that he wanted one and he went out and bought me a $900 camcorder. Next, in february I got my cell phone. My dad's cell phone plan was ending and there was a deal buy one get one free so my dad's asked me if I wanted one and I thought he was joking so I said sure. In 30 minutes, I had a brand new limited edition Motorola KRZR K1 red. I was happy cuz I wanted a cell phone since I was 10 (now I'm 14). So now he pays like $80 a month for the plan. Two weeks later, we were looking at printers (yes, my dad and I are really into electronics), and I realized that color laser printers print really well. I've had a color inkjet all my life and my dad has a black and white laser so I wanted to get it. I didn't tell my dad that I want it, but he was like, "o, look at the quality" "wow, its amazing". After a week and a half or so, my dad came home with a big box, and he's like, "look what I got for you" I opened it and I'm like "you're kidding" and he said he got it on sale cuz it costs like $290 WITHOUT ink (each toner aka cartridge costs $50 and there's 4 of them) and he got it for $290 WITH the ink included. So, we plugged it in and I got a new printer. In March, I wanted a Nintendo DS. And this is the thing I actually begged for for a month. When my dad's friend told him that his son bought himself one, my dad thought it might actually be a good gaming system. So by the end of March, I was once again happy with another toy. My confirmation came in May, and my dad spent $300-$400 for the party. There's a European tradition that children get gifts on June 1st. I got $500, because my dad thought I would need the money for my trip to Poland, so I wouldn't have to ask my grandparents for stuff. I wanted to give him back the money, but he told me that if I didn't want it i could throw it in the garbage. (Of course I didn't do that) When I went to Poland, my grandparents locked up the money and told me that they would give it back to me when I returned home to Canada, and I would give it back to my dad (how?) I then got $100 from my other grandparents, $50 from my aunt and uncle and $50 from my other aunt. (Birthday money) When I came back to Canada, after 2 months, I told my dad to take the money, but he didn't so I left it on the kitchen table, but he put it back in my room. He was thinking of getting me a laptop for my birthday, so I said that I only want a MacBook cuz I thought that he'd say that he can't afford it, and that he wouldn't buy it. my DS got busted in Poland, so we took it back to the store and said it doesn't work, and I got $200. So, I now had $900 in cash. My dad took me to Future Shop a few days before my birthday (August) and it turned out that the MacBooks were on sale, and came with a free package worth $250. We ended up getting a MacBook for me, with total cost of $1800 (with a $300 warranty included). So, I told my dad that he's getting the $900 cuz we're short on money. He FINALLY agreed. So, I payed for half my birthday present and I was really happy that my dad didn't have to pay the full price. Now, I feel really bad, cuz I asked for an iPhone for Christmas and we are REALLY short on money (actually, we always were but now we are even more), so I don't really want it anymore, because I already have a cell phone and and iPod. My dad got himself a GPS for Christmas, as if he knew he couldn't expect anything from anyone else. I had $60 saved up, so I got my dad a tie for Christmas and told him to choose whichever one he wanted. What should I do? I feel so bad that my dad gets me a bunch of stuff, when I can barely get him a tie. I wanted to get him a GPS last year, but decided on a digital camera because our old one was really bad. I know my dad loves me and I love him too, not for the stuff he gets me, but because he's my dad. He works really hard and he's the only one who works for us, because my mom died when I was like, 2 years old and I don't want my dad to get me anything anymore, cuz we need the money for other things. Am I spoiled, and what should I do?

I'm not spoiled....im blessed? Well first off, im 13 years old, i live in a big house flossmoore is a wonderful place you can ever be in model homes rockes!,no fancy cars i go to a catholic school a lot of money paid out every month, but say i not spoil becasue i have a dad and mom well my dad work for bank of america and my mom is working at the trump tower downtown chicago both of my parents pay for tution which is good...but i want a lot of things like everythings i see i want i was 8 years old when i got my very first cell phone i know its to young for me but i wanted one when my mom and dad had got razor phones so then i cryed because i wanted the cell phone so then the next day my dad came home with a sprint bag and gave it to me and there it was the razor....so then that next year i didnt wait until my upgrade on the phone so then the sidekick lx came out and i saw it and i told my mom that i wanted the phone so on my 9th birthday my mom surpised me with the phone and i texted my hands away but then my mom left t-moblie and went with sprint again so then she didnt want to pay a sperated phone bill so then i didnt asked for this phone i had got a blackberry pearl i really didnt like so i was with us cellure and i wanted the motorola q9 now that phone was awsome the i went with cricket and had the samsung messanger the went to boost moblie for a while then we all went back to sprint the thats when i was 11 years old i wanted a blackberry curve i had the phone till it broke the that when i had got the samsung instinct had it for a go 2 years because it was a good phone that when i was 12 years old now when the htc hero came out i got it then days later the htc evo 4g came out at fist i didnt like it but when we when to sprint to pay a bill i saw the evo i fell in love with it so i told my mom i wanted it so then i ask for it for my 13th birthday so my mom and dad said it was no problam they had to pay 504.99 on it because i didnt have the hero for a while so now i have a evo its a cool phone....now thats the phone part its more where that came from...well then for my 11th birthday i asked for a ps3 then my mom got it for me, but my birthday is in november then december xmas year i asked for a labtop without saying anything my mom amd dad said that they were going to buy one anyway because they didnt like me hogging the computer up all the time so then i got it...i made my cousins jello it was so funny but i didnt care...then my 12 birhtday i asked for dj hero then i got it...then for xmas i got more i got a ipod touch, a nikon coolpix camera the touch screen one and colthes and shoes...now this year for xmas i asked for a teacup yorkie,42 inch flat screen but now i narrowed it down to a 32 inch and a wii colthes and shoes oh games...so then i told my cousin what i was getting he called me spoiled and it got to me and i to him that i was blessed cause my parents care about me and education...i told my mom downstairs in the kitchen was i soiled she said yea but you diserve it because i get princeable scholar every marking period so no you are not spoiled just a blessed phony child lol but if anyone read this give me your opinoin...thanks
