Cell phone:Prepaid card, camera & free internet ? Hi all, I do not have much money and I DO NOT want a prepaid monthly charge. I only want to use the prepaid cards but I want my card to go far .... I recall with tracfone, you need to buy airtime as well as minutes so it costs at least $20 a month. I used to have a Samsung t-mobile and my $20 card would last me 3 months. I won't be using the phone much for calls. I need the internet more for emails. I need your help please! I read/heard that I can buy a cheaper prepaid phone and put that sim card into another phone that has the free internet. I would be using the internet signal here at home. I would also like the use of a camera in the phone. What phones can I buy? I will be buying from Craigslist because I do not have much money and buying a phone for internet use is cheaper than buying a computer. Many thanks!!! :D Thank you but it looks like with net10, you have to buy minutes AND service/airtime. I do not want to have to pay for monthly airtime.
Prepaid camera cellphones & plans? Basically I want a prepaid camera phone. This is what I want to have with it. Free Nights & Weekends Unlimited text messaging Help me I'd rather prefer Verizon or T-mobile. Please help me!
I want a cingular Prepaid but their phones are crap.? I've been checking their website for a while and it seems like a good deal. The shipping is free and they waive the activation fee if you buy online. But there's only like 10 phones and they're all cheap or crap. I'm not picky, I just want a Samsung or a Sony Flip Phone with a camera. I'm also afraid to buy one from the store because I'm sure it will have a bunch of extra fees tacked on like the activation fee and whatever else. Any suggestions? What kind of phone is it though? All the go phones I've seen are ugly bar or slide phones.
Prepaid Phone. No Minutes. No money to buy minutes. Help? OK I have a prepaid Camera phone from T-Mobile. I have pictures on my phone I would like to send to my computer. I can E-Mail them, but that would cost me minutes. I have no minutes. I have no money to buy more minutes. If I did, I wouldn't want to spend them on the E-Mails. Is there any way I can import these images to my computer for free? Without a USB cord?

What's the best prepaid cell phone? I want a prepaid cell phone that has free nights and weekends but it has 2 be 100 dollars or lower. Do anyone know what phones have it.. and a camera? give me some ideas
W hat cell phone should I buy? I need a prepaid phone with good camera and free unlimited text messaging, and I don't want to spend too much money. What phone/plan is best for me?
What cell phone plan or prepaid plan dosn't cost alot? I'm 12 almost 13. Lately I have really been needing a cell phone. All and I mean ALL of my friends have a cell phones. None of my friends have to pay for theirs and there PLANS. We all text alot. I want a plan so I can have kinda free text messages to a certain amount. Prepaids seem anoying because you have to get refill cards for every time to text a little to much. (is their any plan that is cheaper than 30 or 40 dollars). Please I really want one and it's almost my b-day. I want a plan w/ good phones maybe camera phones. (I'm not much of an mp3 fan)
What kind of cell phone should I get? I bought a prepaid one the other day and it just isnt working for me. It sucks up way too much money. So Im gunna go and get a contract in about a week or too. I was just wondering if anybody knows the best kind of carrier or the best deal? The main thing I want is unlimited texting. Because I love text. And I wouldnt mind free nights and weekends. And a camera phone wouldnt be half bad either.. But the main thing is just unlimited texting :) Any suggestions?
Which cell phone would you suggest I buy? I think my razr of 4-5 years has finally packed it in, so I was wondering what you would suggest I should get? I'm primarily looking for a resonable camera, and fair MP3 capability at a resonable price. $300 is probably my upper limit in terms of price to be honest. Also, I'm looking at Prepay phones, or sim-free just to clarify. Thanks
Does anyone have alot of experience with current Cell Phones? Time to get some new Cells and a new Contract! Sales person wanted us to get the newest or most pricey, they preferred SAMSUNG. I was planning to get an LG if possible. I needed to consider my mother. But we're getting three phones. Anyone have experience with the Samsung Seek? The sales person wanted us to get Seek or Remarq of the cheaper range of phones. I had to consider my mom will need something a little in the style of a phone. She doesn't need Mega text but not the smallest text. So I'm like.. Okay, fine.. she wants the pink Seek because it's pink and cute. Maybe it will be easy to understand. So does anyone know if the Seek is any good? Have any recommendations [Sprint :/] We can change the phones/orders. I've been thinking,.. " Why did I just go with what everyone else was getting?" I can get any model. At the moment I was just thinking " I must train my mom for this new phone". Is the LG Rumor Touch any good? That's the only LG the Sales person wanted us to think about ( that's cheap.. of course Blackberries would be their preference for us). The phones she most wanted us to get was the Remarq or the Blackberries. Oh and the Lady was saying things like the Seek had 32 gigs built in, but I read otherwise. If you need help.. Phone 1: Talkative. Usually talks to other Sprint Customers or after 7 ( more like 11 pm - 3 am). Can talk for two hours. Cannot admit to all of this and Sprint Supports her because the Any Time Minutes are only about 30 ( since most talk is free). Probably sends or receives a combo of 5-10 text a month ( cannot admit to this). Phone 2: Clutzy. Has friends and family that want to Text them for a few months of the year ( cannot admit that they want to text those months while not in those months but does within those months *rolls eyes*). Uses phone daily for work ( after 7 pm) and they'd like to be able to text to make sure some things are accurate. [ Should catch on fast they need need discount prepaid texting]. Phone 3: My phone was taken over, so I haven't been able to use a phone. I'd like to have text to make things accurate and maybe a camera. Do any Sprint phones link to Y!M? That's mostly how I communicate right now. I'd like a Qwerty, Phone 2 needs a Qwerty,.. Phone 1 would have no problem with not having a Qwerty.. but that would help maybe one day out of the month ( we could use one of the other phones if she needed to reply in text, she prefers to talk). Thanks for your personal experience! We don't have any children. We don't care about weight. Most of the phones will be free anyways. Thanks for the info on Weight and Camera. I actually wouldn't mind if we had different chargers since everyone wants to charge at the same time. But I'm sure they will all come with chargers. I'm a little worried right now that my mom may not be able to dial phone numbers well without an obvious Key Pad. Some times it sounds like the screen can be a Key Pad, but I am not sure what is true and what is false since I am reading alot of conflict. Especially with the sales person saying the phones had 32 gigs in them, then the site says it's an optional chip which suggest the phones do not currently have 32 gigs. There were many things like that that left me confused. I also wonder about Y!M on the Cell Phones because all the Cell Phone companies seem so unsure of which models do have it, which misprinted and if you pay anything or not to use Y!M on your phone.
go back on my parents cell plan or keep my prepaid? ok so we have no hosue phone...so on a prepaid altel i pay a dollar a day for unlimited text.. altel to altel...and after 9 nites and weekends. with other calls it amounts to about 35-40 a month now. I have the cheap 25 dollar phone with no camera just basic and thats ok with me i never did pic messages when i had a camera phone anyway jsut took em and kept em on there for show not send My parents plan: *family plan" ( free after 7pm nites and weekends....can get unlimited texting and web is a bonus with that....still have altel to altel and a bonus few numbers cause of the ten number thing. since my mother is getting herself a new phone she will GIVE me her old one...meaning i dont have to pay for it or the fee to the activation fee and its a nice scoop keyboard phone--in my fav color orange none the less! -- Bill--- $20 for text $15 for my line plus tax (my lil sister pays bout 5.25 for tax with her's and she has the exact same planning) so round 40-45 a month with it being free after 7 wont really use any of the plan minutes and as long as i lock my phone and dont over use minutes or anything my parents dont care what i do with it.... btw have a job to pay my prepaid and will continue paying my part on my parnets line... This is a great idea cause Im going to the military after graduate high school in may..they will freeze my phone till i get outa boot camp. i could switch my line over to my name ..plan to also take my grandmothers on my line and pay for hers cause i want to get her web acess for a laptop. any suggestions ...think its worth it?

Should I buy an Ipod touch or cell phone? I was thinking about getting a prepaid cell phone for Christmas but I found that on EBay the earlier versions of the IPod Touch are incredibly cheap. I wanted a phone for just only camera and text but can't you download the Text free Application? Please help 10 points for best answers(: .
[Poll] Do you think this is a good deal for us? My fiance and I use Tracfone - prepaid. We don't talk on them much, they're mostly for emergencies. We use them more for texting than anything. Many times if I need him to pick something up on the way home from work it's better than calling, so he doesn't get in trouble. Anyway, I saw that Tracfone's got an online deal on phones that we can't get here. They're black LG Flip/Camera phones. The deal is, for $50 you get - The phone Free accessories (headphones and such) Double minutes for the lifetime of the phone Free shipping I thought it sounded like a great deal, since I usually only have to buy a 60 min card every 3-4 months....this way I'd only have to do it maybe 6-7 months (obviously saving us money). I've thought about getting us both one, since his is old and falling apart, and mine's been acting up a lot. What do you think? Just curious :) Tracfone's not bad...just a very simple prepaid deal with no contract...It's really nice for us since we don't use them often enough to have a monthly bill :)
whats the best prepaid bargain? I text and IM a lot, but I dont use many minutes a month. I would like something to fit my needs. I wouldnt mind free night and weekends. I also like to have a decent phone with a camera. Cheapest possible would be great. Thanks guys.
about sendin pix messages on my cell? juss got the u-prepaid from alltel 2day, got a camera phone and i choose free txtin as 1 of my features. he said it cost 25 cents 2 send a pic message. i wanna send 1 2 my email.. heres wat it says. when i go 2 send 1, i have the option to pic thses -- .com, .net, .edu, .org and that stuff. so if i choose .com, i just put (my email address @, and then the .com, right? cuz i dont wanna send a msg that charges me if it aint gone work.
What phone/phone service should I get? I want to get a new prepaid phone. I used to have a Sony Ericsson Z310a with AT&T service, but it cost 25 cents a minute and that's why I want to switch. I'm mainly considering T-Mobile or Virgin Mobile since they have cheap mins. and give rewards to get free airtime. I don't really need that many features on the phone, a decent camera is fine, and I kinda want to try and stay under $100 with something that still looks and works good. What prepaid phones or other services would you recommend I get?
I NEED A CHEAP PREPAID CELL PHONE which one????? has to have internet browsing phone under 60 and i want a service with the cheapest minutes and texts no activation free and one a boy will like for me preferd stuff full keyboard camera black cool
looking for a new phone? i want a phone that is prepaid and has wifi (free internet) a camera (maybe video) IM messenger Myspace the price doesn't matter...do know of a phone? and the feature have 2 work with a pre-paid card.... or do u know of a phone similar 2 what i want?
Prepaid Cellphones & Plans? I asked this questions before but aparently I wasnt clear enough. So I am going to reask it & hope to get a better source of answers. First off let me tell you that I am from Rockingham, North Carolina, USA I am looking for a prepaid cellphone, particularly one with a camera nothing much else as in features on the phone itself. I am looking for a plan that is the cheapest but the best. In detail I want to be able to have unlimited text (or certain number of them free) & free nights & weekends. I also want to be able to have rollover minutes. There are alot of prepaid services out there. I have tried Tracfone when it first came out & care not to repeat that. So this time I want to do some major looking into to make sure I find out right for me. I am doing alot of online searching but most sites dont tell you all the fees so I figured if I could ask those who have been there, I might get more an honest responce. So there ya go, Thank You for your time & Responce!
What's the best deal for a pre-paid phone as far as how many minutes you get and extra features? I have a LG Net 10 phone that was $40 from Target and I got 100 free minutes. It's okay. The only cool thing about it is it's a flip phone. I would ideally like a phone with a GOOD camera and a few cool extra gadgets. I also want one that gives you the most minutes for your money. The Net 10 doesn't give you many minutes and the minimum min. you can buy is $30 worth (which I didn't know at first) and that's kinda expensive. It does have EXCELLENT reception though even in remote areas which my bf's Virgin phone does not seem to have. Reception is important as I travel a lot. I have bad credit so I can only get a prepaid phone. THANKS for any suggstions!
Prepaid cell service? Witch company offers good cheap text service? What about day minutes ? Free nites or weekends ? I have boost mobile now, but my will soon be sent to shop to be fixed.I need a good back up phone & service. Phones needs to be cheap with a camera.......
Frigging Cell phone SUCKS, HALP !? I hate the phone I got when i got my prepaid AT&T phone C139 Motorola. My friend offered me his Nokia, or Verizon VX6000 flip phone He bought at an AT&T Store. I dont want to pay $100 for another phone when my friend ofered me his free of charge, Can i swap the Sim cards in the phones and it work ? If it makes a difference, he bought his on a contract plan, mine is Prepaid where they deduct from my account, I do not go and buy a card to activate. Can somebody help me out and help me to understand how all this stuff works ? Go easy with me, Im a Kindergartner when it comes to stuff like this....HALP ! ALL phones were purchased at an AT&T Store. He got different phones because he upgraded himself so he has kept the same phone number for years, and just threw the extra phones in a drawyer and saved them, I dont need anything fancy, just to be able to use the phone when I need it, no camera, no internet, no bells and whistles. Just prepaid service when its time to "re-up" the minutes.
Blackberry w/ Wi-fi and Camera? Hi. Im going to buy a Blackberry, but not sure which onbe yet. I need one w/ wifi so that i can go on the internet for free. I would also like it to have a camera. This is b/c I will unlock it and use it w/ T-Mobile Prepaid. It's much cheaper. I would also like to know if you can listen to music w/ it and watch videos. I know tht the iPhone is a better phone for what i need, but w/out a contract, the new 3gS is 699 for 16gb, way too much. Unless anyone knows a website where i can buy it for, as they say, 199. By the way, would you happen to know if t-Mobile would charge if im on wifi??? Would there be any other charges besides for minute usage?? What if I type email on wifi? Do I get charged. Does it come with the app, internet? dows youtube come free w/ the blackberry, regardless w/ or w/out wifi?
Cell phone plan help???? no virgin mobile!!! too expensive. what cell phone can i get that does not cost $$ i was thinking ballpark 100$ cannot have a bill-per-month plan so prepaid text alot!!!!!!! so like 2cent text or free also i was looking at prepaid verizon want a sleek, kool phone (razor or full keyboard) thanks!! last time i asked this question i did not get any verizon! i want to know if anything under 100$ is on verizon or should i get a different company?? if so which one? again! NO VIRGIN MOBILE! i need a prepaid plan and a phone with a camera! thanks
good plan for me? help! I am looking for a new phone and plan, one that is in my price range though. I currently use Virgin Mobile, it is almost perfect for me. I love that it is prepaid. Also, I have 1000 texts per month plan which costs 10$/mo. Other than texting I only use my phone for calls rarely, I might use 30 mins/mo. but I can get free mins. online so I am only paying for the 10$/mo. texting fee. I am looking for a camera phone and virgin mobile doesn't have good ones, so I need to switch. Do you know any plans that are based on texting and are very cheap? Since I currently pay 10$/mo I am looking at nothing more than 20$/mo. Please help! If you dont want to read all that: I am basically looking for a phone plan that only has texting, I rarely call. And it has to be fairly cheap, I dont want to waste money just for texting...
Which carrier should I get? Okay so I've had t-mobile prepaid for over 2 years but I'm tired of the horrible service. I have a sidekick and I rarely use the phone, except for when I have to call customer care every 5 seconds to fix some other problem. Anyway, I'm looking for an inexpensive prepaid plan that will allow me to text and pic message for free (i prefer a phone with a camera) that has a qwerty keyboard and/or mobile web. I've looked into the Samsung Messager r450 from MetroPCS but I'd also like to know if there are any other plans such as theirs and what the prices range from for pre-paid. Thanks in advance :)
What would be my best option as far as a cell phone plan goes? I havent had a phone in over a year. I used to have cingular but i doubt i will go back unless there is a good deal there. I am on a very very low budget but I really need a cell phone. I would like a nice phone with a camera and all the other extras but i wouldnt need anything to extreme like a smart phone or a blackberry. I would like a plan with unlimited texting and I would not require a lot of minutes per month because i would mostly text. Rollever might be nice or perhaps something like my circle from altell. I have heard from one person something a/b altell having a prepaid service with free unlimited texting and then no obligation to buy minutes. Is this true? Thanks to all who reply with helpful information.
Stay with sidekick or use samsung gravity 3? well i had a sidekick for 3 years, i stopped using it a year ago its the sidekick LX. now my mom was just about to turn off her tmobile but tmobile sended her a phone for free so she could stay, it was the samsung gravity 3 she said i can have the phone and put a prepaid card in it or i can use my sidekick and put a prepaid card. The aim on the sidekick is better, but the camera on the gravity is better. plus the gravity is new, ughh i dont know what to choose help me
what cell phone should i buy? - i want it to be a contract phone (no prepaid) - i dont want to spend more than 40 bucks a month but i want free texting - i want it to have a QWERTY keyboard - i want it to have a camera - it can be any price under $250 but i dont want to pay more than 40 a month - i want it to be either Verizon or AT&T

Which boost mobile phone is better? I have just recently started the boost mobile 50 dollar unlimited plan. I have the 1776w and i can not upload any free ringtones from any website...also I really dont care for the set up of the phone...its really too old fashion (if i had known it was set up the way it was I would hae never bought it). I use to have the alltel prepaid and I loved it...but unfortunately it was too expensive for how much i talk. Are all boost mobile phones out of date or is it just the 1776w? And is there any boost phones that have a great camera like my alltel Hue did?? Thank you!
How can I convince my mom to let me get a cellphone? I'm thirteen and I want a cellphone. I'm very responsible I spend most of my weekends babysitting my little brother so my Parents can go where they please. Our landline is always attatched to someones ear, and during the time someone is talking, someone else needs the phone. I'm not seeking to have a cellphone just because my friends have one, I seek to have one for privacy, easier communication, and emergency use. But then again I'm thirteen. I want to be able to have a Cellphone that has a good plan, or a good prepaid plan. I'd rather go prepaid if an option. I want a phone that has; MSN Free/Cheap Text Cheap INcoming and OUTgoing calls Camera Voice Record Internet service Ya know? All the things a normal teenager would want at an affordable price. Any suggestions for what type of cellphone to get would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks =]
mobile phone plans for infrequent user? My last phone contract (with vodafone) just ran out so I'm looking around for something else now that I have the chance. I rarely use my phone, maybe just a few text messages a week to let people know when I'll be arriving and such but nothing much, and I hardly ever call anyone. My last contract was a $19/month plan and I never ever got anywhere close to the limit, I spent like a third of that. I'm looking for something around that price I guess at the max - I'd pay a little more for better coverage but not too far over. The problem is all I can find are either prepaid plans where you have to put in a certain amount each time (usually $20-$30) and it expires after a couple months, unused (this was what I was on before my last contract and I wasted so much on unused credit!) OR contract plans where you get a fancy new phone and $200 worth of calls and such for $29/49/69/month and it would just be totally wasted on me. I already have a perfectly good phone that calls and texts people and that's all I need it to do so I either want to keep it or get something very very budget like that. I just don't know what to ask for! I want the absolute bottom of the line stuff, I don't want a smartphone or a touchscreen or free facebook access or a 7 megapixel camera or anything like that. Is it even possible to get something like this? I'm very easily swayed by salespeople and when I went into the shop today they started talking about some new $49 cap plan and I had no idea how to ask for anything lower, so I really want to just walk in and say "I want your Special Technophobe Never-expiring Prepaid Plan for $20/month" and have them give it to me, you know what I mean? Or links to such plans on the internet would be good too. Website front pages always have their fancy phone deals in huge colourful ads and it's so hard to find the cheap budget options. Any help would be appreciated!
Found a phone I love but should I stick with Sprint? I am finally upgrading in the cell phone world. I had a freebie 10-some year old phone my mother got for me which a prepaid plan of $25 every three months from a private almost nonexistent company that uses Verizon satellites. I'm 23 now and it's been my plan for years to get a "real" phone with a "real" plan.... losing my phone in the park just made that a neccessity. Now after weeks of researching and driving myself a little insane I found out I can get a large discount on monthly plans from Sprint due the place I work (I could get a smaller discount at verizon but I found they were still more expensive with plans). Previously I didn't wish to spend more than $30 a month but realistically upgraded that to around $40 a month. I am really happy with the phone I just got at Sprint--a Samsung Rant. The only phone I've really adored on sight... it has the 2.0MP camera, video, full qwerty keyboard, and all the features I ever wished for in a phone... and did I mention it was purple? I've already been customizing it to my liking. I am also happy with the plan itself. With my discount it would be just over 40 a month, giving me 450 minutes a month, free nights and weekends, and unlimited text messaging. Now to the problem as I've been hearing about sprint... I don't get much reception in my house. I've noticed it's a little iffy in other places and researching have found this is a common problem with Sprint? I have the 30 days trial and I'm second guessing if I want to be stuck in a 2 year plan. But at the same time I don't want to give up the phone and I like the plan itself... Does anyone else have experience with Sprint? Some of my friends swear by MetroPCS (I'm a Florida resident). I am also considering now that with my plans I have to consider the high cell phone tax.. which makes me like the fact I get a discount with Sprint. Also with other carriers I haven't come across a phone I love as much as the Samsung Rant in looks, feel, and features.Does anyone have any advice? Is it wise to stick with Sprint at least for now?
Which to buy: Nokia 6760 slide or Nokia E63? I don't really see much difference between the two, alright so the slide can download data on 3g a little faster and has a better camera, the E63 has wifi but I doubt I'd really use it. I'm just not sure which to use, I guess it comes down to the screen size, QWERTY comfort & build quality. I know both phone's screens are 2.4", but the 6760 slide's looks kind of bigger. I'll be using the phone for MSN & one website for free SMSing. I'll replace default browser with Mini Opera for 80% compression thing. I'll disable web images & flash if possible. I've already picked a good prepaid plan that'll cover all costs. I really doubt I'll need wifi, not like trains have free hotspots. Then there's the security of hotspots and wanting to keep MSN conversations private. So which phone should I get?
Iphone newbie questions/concerns? As a lifelong Blackberry user, I have absolutely no knowledge on the Iphone. I want to make the switch in the next day or two, but have a few questions, and was hoping an Iphone veteran can help me out: 1- If I buy an Iphone and it is not unlocked/jailbroken, is there a certain firmware the phone must be running for me to do it myself? (will be either a 3gs or 4 btw) 2- Other than receiving EDGE instead of 3g speeds, if I stick with Tmobile will there be any other features or applications that do not work correctly? 3- My Tmo contract ran out and to save a few bucks for the holidays, I switched to Tmo's prepaid plan. I have fallen in love with the price of this plan, so can I use this prepaid plan (it includes data) with the Iphone, or do I need to switch to a regular smartphone data plan? This current prepaid plan has been giving me the same 'smartphone data' on an HD2 that the 'contract smartphone data' did, so I was just curious. 4- I'd like to know what jailbreaking does in terms of apps. People say you get free apps- does that mean ALL of the apps are free, or just a few here and there? 5- For anyone who has typed on either a BB 9550/9530 or HTC HD2/HD7, can you compare typing on an Iphone vs one of those? 6- For anyone who has owned both the 3gs and 4, ASIDE from cameras/flash/screen res/design, what are the pros and cons? 7- Just how fragile is the glass? Will one drop crack it, or is it fairly durable? (I drop my phones alot and hate cases) 8- If I buy a used one off Craigslist, is there anything I must be aware of when checking it out (other than the usual call test/screen check stuff)? Thank you to anyone who can give me some insight, feel free to add additional (constructive) info I should know as well- I really appreciate any help I can get :) To responder #1-- LOL, wow. Note I said "IF" I stick with Tmobile. I stated my Tmo contract was up, so a simple 'hey, it'd really be better for you to just switch to ATT" would've sufficed. That was mainly what I was looking for. To responder #2-- Thank you so very much for taking the time to help me out.

Is there any way I can ensure they are legitimate? what do you think?
