Verizon Wireless Phones? I have had Verizon wireless for 2 years, so it's time for the new every 2 deal. I got the phones from a local company that sells equipment and plans. They said I would have to pay them for the phones and then get a rebate in the mail later. If I go to an actual Verizon wireless store, do I still have to pay for them and send for a rebate or not? When I was looking at them online, they made it seem like it was free if I ordered online. Also, any recommendations for which new phones they have that are any good?

Can i still get a free phone from verizon wireless even though the deal was made about one year ago? The deal made it so you can have a couple of phones free, and they said that i can get a free one later for myself, can i still get one? Im not looking for an upgrade just a new phone cause i dint get one in the 1st place

Can Verizon Wireless retrieve my old numbers? Awhile back I dropped my phone in water and it didn't turn on. I got a new phone from Verizon wireless but they said they could not move my numbers. I tried to turn on the phone later and it does turn on, and the keys light up but not the screen. Will this be enough for them to retrieve my old numbers and move them to my new phone?

I have two friends that have two different phones from Verizon Wireless. I have AT&T. When they (Continued)? send me text messages with media attached, such as, a picture, a videos, or an audio clip, on the message it says to press Get to download. I have the LG Vu CU920, so I press it, and it says downloading, then it goes back to the inbox, and on the message it says, retrieving. Then, about a minute to a minute and a half later, a message pops up, and says something like communication no response, or or no communication response. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, do you know how to fix it? I messed up a few times typing, but I didn't feel like going back and fixing it.

I just placed an order for a Verizon wireless phone, got an email regarding Credit Hold Reason, what happened? I placed an order online, which my grandfather will be paying for, I used my email because he doesn't have one. Got an email couple of minutes later regarding "Credit Hold Reason: Our Credit Review Department has requested further information from you." What does this mean, is my order messed up? It didn't ask me for any credit card numbers, because the phones were free online.

Verizon Wireless replacement phone policy? I got a new replacement phone from verizon. This is my 2nd env2. It keeps breaking. Usually the buttons stop working. I got my new replacement phone July 31st. A couple of days later the "ok" button stopped working. Other buttons are slowly starting to break again. Is it true that Verizon has the policy that if the phone breaks twice in 90 days, you are legible for a free phone upgrade? Either env3 or env touch?

Why was the LG VX8700 (for Verizon Wireless) discontinued? I used to have this phone, got a different replacement from insurance, and now several (crappy) phones later, I want my old LG VX8700 again! What will happen if I'm not home to sign for my new Verizon wireless cell phone? I just bought a new cell phone online, and set up a plan and everything online. Anyways, all that is done with. But it says that customer signature is required upon delivery, its suppose to be delivered one to two business days, so I'm figuring Monday or Tuesday I'll get it. But I got classes all day Monday, and work later in the afternoon on Tuesday. Does anyone know what time they usually show up? Also, what will happen if I'm not here to sign for it that particular day? Will they come back the next day or what? I just want to know from anyone else who has had to deal with this. What is the difference between the latest Droids on Verizon Wireless? My phone is up for an upgrade on Verizon and I'm shopping for a new phone to switch from my blackberry curve.. the old curve is my first smartphone and while i love that if i need to access the browser, i can….i hate it. I don't rely on my e-mail as much as the majority of blackberry users. I'm still a teenager so for me it's basic texting, facebook, and accessible e-mail are really the only features i need with a somewhat decent battery life and a qwerty keyboard that you can actually touch not a touchscreen qwerty keyboard would be great. but honestly I feel like after a few days I could easily adjust to a touchscreen. I've been shopping for a week and I'm pretty positive that a Droid is the right phone for me HOWEVER I can not for the life of me figure out what the differences are between the Droid Pro, Droid X, Droid R2D2, and Droid 2 Global. All I've figured out so far is… Droid Pro- QWERTY keyboard similar to Blackberry style.. Droid X - Touchscreen QWERTY…black front, blue back… Droid R2D2- Slider, Painted like R2D2 (which I don't particularly mind but I've never seen star wars so…..I would be mercilessly mocked for my choice in technology) Droid 2 Global- International Phone (Which I don't need.), comes in white or blue, slider keyboard I mean looks wise- I love the global. but it just seems a little ridiculous to buy a global phone now when I don't intend on traveling outside the us..Although again I'd be signed for 2 years so you never know. Please someone just tell me which one would be best suited for me.

When activating a Verizon Wireless phone, I keep getting the message, "We cannot process your request"? I keep trying again later but it doesnt work. I left my phone at my cousins house far away so i activated my old phone to use until i could get my new phone back. I activated that fine, but when I got my good phone back and tried t activae it, verizon wont let me for some reason. I also tryed dialing *228 and doing it that way but it says sometime during that, "the call you are trying to make cannot be made from your calling area" or something like that. What is the problem here?

Question about Verizon Wireless phone sales? My contract ended on Feb 7 and when I went to the store I didn't feel like buying anything yet because I wasn't sure. A week later I decided I wanted the Voyager and was set to buy it, but the man who was helping us told us that because we made changes to our plan that we would have to wait til the end of the billing cycle which was a week later. Then, I come back and the Voyager went from $80 to $150 and that was too much. I asked the women if she expected it to go on sale and she said that they do promotions the first and fifteenth days of the months and now they are doing a Samsung promotion. Does anyone with a Verizon background know if they expect an LG promotion by this weekend?

switching verizon phones? so i recently got the verizon wireless enV touch but while i was at a hospital i lost it. about 2 days later i found my old verizon razor. is it possible to switch the service from my touch to my razor that way i can still have a phone and if so how do i do it thanks in advance

What to do about my late phone bill? My husband and I recently split up. In the process, we cancelled our (almost) 200 dollar a month phone bill from Verizon Wireless. The phones are in my name and yesterday I got a bill for 1,400 dollars due immediately. Will I be able to keep my current Verizon cell phone number when I switch to AT&T/Cingular for the iPhone? I am currently a Verizon wireless customer and my contract isn't over until late late this year. However, I will be in line on Day 1 purchasing an Apple iPhone from AT&T/Cingular. Certain numbers I block from calling keep becoming unblocked??(verizon wireless)? I have verizon wireless and I pay for the usage controls.. I block a few numbers from calling or texting me.. I hear from other forums Verizon's blocks last only 90 days then it resets and you have to re-block it if need be.. But my problem is the numbers after a week or sometimes 2 weeks reset/unblock? Like on the 1st I blocked some again then on the 13 they unblocked.. So I re-blocked them again then today 24 hours later they unblocked.. I am wondering if it is a glitch or does the 90 days not a thing anymore its less.. I could call verizon and ask but that's like pulling teeth sometimes getting help on the phone with them **Update.. so later in the day the entire usage controls option I signed up for was removed and wants me to repurchase it.. So I calle verizon and they have no idea why it would do that but then another person at Verizon said oh you have an option of monthly service or longer you must of did a month.. When I look I see no option for purchasing the usage control for just a month??? You buy it and it is yours until you remove it..also on my end when I look online my base service price was 60 some odd dollars but now saying 48$ on their end it still says 60$.. All this crap seems to be going wrong all in the same day and technical support at verizon is retarded in helping me

Pix messages take very long time to receive in Verizon phone from other providers.? Whenever one of my friends sends me a picture or video message from another wireless provider (in this case a picture message with a voice recording, but no picture), it takes a very long time for me to receive it. I'm talking hours later. A picture my friend sent me recently was sent at 4 PM and it wasn't received until 12 PM the next day. Why is this and is there any way to speed it up?

Can i get a replacement phone from verizon? I have an alias from verizon wireless and i've had it for about a year now (i have a 2 year contract) verison has replaced my phone twice already because of it malfunctioning, anyways about 3 months ago the front screen cracked open, i honestly don't even know how it happend, i put it in my pocket perfectly fine and than a couple hours later i took it out and it was cracked now my phone is randomly shutting off for not reason while its in my pocket or when im even just using it im pretty sure this isnt linnked to it being cracked but if i try and ask for a replacement will they not do it since the screen is cracked??

Finding new Verizon Wireless cell phone number? I don't want any smartass answers on this. I just need some help. A friend of mine just up and disappeared. I was just with him on Friday night and he was fine. Yesterday, I noticed he deleted me and a bunch of our friends from his MySpace. Later, I noticed both his MySpace and Facebook were completely deleted. I tried calling his cell phone and it said the number was changed, disconnected, or not in service. I've tried calling everyone he would hang out with, and no one knows where he is. Is there a way to find out if he changed his number? And, if he did what he changed his number to?

Mobile email from Verizon Wireless? since my plan includes mobile email, i downloaded it. its okay, but it is almost a pain sometimes... first off i keep getting these weird "high priority" texts (from 118012222269) and when googled the #, it seems like people have figured out it is coming from the mobile email...yet no1 can seem to figure out how to get rid of them (including vzw tech support)... second (and my question) is about the alerts. when i first downloaded it i am pretty sure that it asked me if i wanted them...i clicked yes thinking that i would be able to change it later if i didn't like or need it. i don't like them, so i tried to get rid of them and either i just don't see it/don't know how to or you can't. so, does anyone know how to turn of the mobile email alerts? i have tried looking at all of the settings and there doesn't seem to be one for the alerts. i have tried to see if i could change the sound of the tone (bc it is really loud...which during the day is fine - but i keep my phone on at night and it wakes me up when it goes off) and couldn't. really the only thing that makes it go off is if i turn my phone to no sounds (or no sounds except for alarm) which really isn't beneficial. the only way i can think of to get rid of it, is to delete the mobile email and then re-download it...but i honestly don't want to do that and if that is the only case, i prob. won't get it again...i mean it is okay, but you can't see the attachments or go to links - really the only reason that i have it now is bc i pay for it every month! sorry for making this kinda long! thanks in advance for your help! :] um...bc it is annoying! and i check my email throughout the day anyway. so i don't need it to alert me a million times a day and especially at night!!

have any of you had difficulties calling a Verizon cell phone for example going to voice mail after 1 ring? was talking with a friend thurs night they're a verizon wireless customer I am not one of our phones dropped the call they called me right back. I asked if I could call back from other phone was told yes but wait about 5 min im about to go through a dead zone well 2 days later the phone is still going to voicemail after only 1 ring makes no since that person would reject my call considering they called me to begin with????

What cell phone would you get with Verizon? So I can't ask my mother who her provider is right now but I know that sooner or later I need to switch phones because 1.) my number is one of the easiest numbers to remember (I'm giving it to my cousin) and 2.) my phone is broken. I think she's with Verizon? Specifically because I think I remember seeing a silver-chrome phone with no front screen or anything except for a blinking red light on either the right or left side and it was a flip phone. I'm pretty sure that's either Sprint or Verizon but more Verizon than Sprint. Which phone would you get if you wanted a phone that had internet capabilities, that was for a college student, that wasn't so hard to type letters with because those small PDA-wannabes are annoying to type with, and something that doesn't say I wear a lot of lotion (because I do make 100% sure that my hands are moisturized all the time). I know the last part is unavoidable as human hands produce oil all of the time so either way it's going to happen but I think I'd better stray away from a total touch screen cell phone. (Personal EXPERIENCE with these phones from Verizon Wireless is greatly appreciated. I don't want a phone that's buggy or really just sucks and is seriously cheap) OH! One more thing! Verizon Wireless- upgrading a phone online? I currently have the LG Dare, and I am going to upgrade to the Samsung Omnia today via the verizon website. But since I am not eligible for an upgrade, it says I have to pay full retail price. 1) Do I still get the mail in rebate? 2) Under the phone's name in the online checkout, it says "0-year contract". Does that mean that I will have to purchase a new contract for it later, or will my contract from my LG Dare transfer to the new phone?

help me find a good phone to buy PLEASE? I'm buying a new phone from verizon wireless later on today but i really don't know what to get. I have had the Glyde, the Alias, and the SCH-i760 i really like the phone i have right now which is the SCH-i760 but i want to have picture messaging capabilities without throwing out another 50 dollars a month. What i was looking for is a PDA sort of deal that can help me organize myself like the SCH is doing for me now but i see that anything like that would require the data package so i realized that i dont really need that capability. Now what i want is a QWERTY keyboard phone (I'm very big on texting) with a touch screen and that could be fully navigated with the keypad. somewhat like the voyager but not as bulky. ive also heard that the voyager's touch screen would go bad after a while. i know I'm asking a lot of a phone so the touch screenisn'tt reallynecessaryy it would just be an extra luxury but idon'tt need it. I love my SCH-i760 but again i cant afford an extra 50 dollars every month. Please help me!

Why are there hardly any good cell phones available for people who don't want smartphones? My contract ends later this year and I've already begun looking at new phones. I was disappointed to find that Verizon wireless and all the other wireless companies force you to buy a smartphone or choose from their very limited collection of regular phones. I did find one that I liked (the KIN Two) but I don;t know if it'll still be available by the time I can get a new phone. Why aren't there any good phones that don't require data plans any more??

everytime i text some1 i get a text from there number 5 sec later sayin Duplicate Message (there #) Succeeded? I have a verizon wireless phone (under a metro pcs plan) 4 about a year now & this morning i notice everytime i text someone i get a text from there number 5 seconds later saying: *Duplicate* <--- on the top Message (there #) Succeeded I need help getting rid of this because its driving me crazy! The LG env 1 from verizon? k so i have an lg env 1...silver for what it's worth so today my phone died on me, when i got home from school i plugged it into the charger and on the screen it flashed "Verizon WIreless" like always...but then it just went off It kept doing that for a while, not charging. Now (about 2 hours later) when you try to turn it on the screen sort of lights up as do the keys but no picture shows up on the screen. the screen looks like when you turn the tv on but the cable box is off. is there anything i can do besides take it to the store or call verizon? (parents will be mad because i allready broke 2 phones so i don't want to get them involved) please help!!(:

Anyone else receiving weird text messages on your cell phones and later found that you've been charged ? Me and my husband did...since last year when I got my new Verizon phone, I started receiving these text messages that I thought were just advertisements for some match-making thing...the texts said something about "soulmate love" and $9.99, but I always deleted those as soon as I received them and never, ever replied or texted back anything. I never thought anything else about it until recently when my husband (who pays the bill online) was comparison shopping the plans so we can upgrade... and he found that we have been charged for over a year for these texts I'd been receiving. I never received any services...no horoscopes, no whatever they are...but we were charged all this time, and it was $20.00 per month and once it was $40 in addition to our normal cell phone bill. He never though much about our bill being $20 more...he thought I'd been texting my Mom a lot (who lives in another state) and he just paid the bills and was done with it. Last December, it was $40 more and he did mention to me about it being a lot higher but I told him I didn't understand and that I had not been texting her much at all. So, by accident he found out that we've paid about $400 more than we ever should...for services we never signed up for or agreed to !! We complained to Verizon and they eventually credited our account for $60 (they could only go back 3 months, they said) and we filed a FRAUD complaint with them. They also gave us the number to contact the company charging these fees, which is MOBILE MESSENGER, who also used names like soulmatelove.com and MMTXT that appears on your bill. They're all the same company and my husband researched the internet and found that the man that is behind this whole scam, and who is cheating tons of people around the WORLD out of money and wasting their time, as well...because they have to fight with their service carrier to get their money back, or some of it...he is living in Australia and there have been lawsuits against him in the past or maybe currently, I hope. He is a millionaire now because of his LOW-LIFE way of doing business, because he's too sorry to get a REAL JOB like most other people ! There are many class-action lawsuits going on because of these fraudulent text charges and we should all be aware and watch your cell phone bills carefully. What is Target store policy on returning prepaid cell phones? On Sunday I bought a Pantech phone from Verizon Wireless at Target. I payed in cash. It was around $70. I activate it and came with $10 on it. The phone however had a number from a neighbooring area code (760). I live in the (909) area code. The next day, I went to the Verizon Wireless store in the mall to change the number. They changed it and gave me the confirmation receipt. When I got home I tried it and it wouldnt allow me to make or receive calls. I took the phone to the Verizon Wireless store again and they couldnt fix it. They told me to call Customer Service (which I will later), but first I need to know the store return policy in Target. I have the receipt and the package. "Were sorry, your service does not allow you to complete this call. Message MR6" According to reps at the Verizon store, the $10 were not transferred to the phone. Onn the receipt it says 90 days.

Do I have a law suit against Verizon Wireless? I was enlisted in the U.S. Army. Before I deployed to Iraq (in March of 2003), I gave a copy of my deployment orders to verizon wireless and in return there were going to terminate my contract at no charge. While I was in Iraq, I received a bill for $17,000 from verizon. I called them to see what had happened. They stated that my account was changed to that every minute my cell phone was used, I would be charged $5 minute. My phone was stolen out of the mail and never made it home. Verizon assured me that I was not at fault and the matter would be taken care of. Later, I received a bill for $40,000, I called verizon and again got the same story from them. I returned from Iraq and started to get bills from a collection agency for the amount of $40,000. A local newspaper wrote an article about my situation and now verizon wants to clear the situation up. This has been going on for 5 years now and my credit is in shambles. Do I have a legitimate case against them if I sue?

How do I transfer sounds from my computer to my phone with Bluetooth? Alright so I discovered that you can connect your computer and phone with Bluetooth and transfer things. I have no problem transferring pictures from my laptop to my phone and vice versa, and I can transfer sounds from my phone to my computer, I can even receive videos from my phone, but I cannot receive sounds from my computer. I am trying to send a sound or a song from my computer to my phone, and I can't figure out how to do it. Do I have to save the sound under .mid or .qcp or something? Please tell me how to do this! My computer is a MacBook Pro and is running on the latest Mac software. My phone is a EnV2 from Verizon Wireless. I may not know how to change the file into .jpg or .mp3 or whatever, because I'm pretty new to Macs. If doing this requires changing the file type please tell me how to do this too. Thanks

Broken Verizon Phone? Hello, about a month ago I left my Verizon-wireless PN-820 Smart-phone is my pants pocket and accidentally washed it. I did the leave it in a bag of rice thing and yet it still did not work, one day I was bored one day I plugged it into the charger and it actually turned on! Then it turned off 2 minutes later.... From time to time I plug it in and about 10% of the time it turns on, what is going on with my phone?? ( BY THE WAY>>> I do not have insurance so dont waiste your time and tell me to just return it. )

how long does it take for a number to be blocked from your phone? I have verizon wireless and I just logged into my account and typed in the number i want to be blocked from texting and calling me and pressed ok. but then about ten minutes later i got another text from the person and it came through to my phone, so has anyone ever blocked a number on verizon wireless and how long did it take for the "blocking" to go through?

Verizon wireless..new data plan? So I wanted to get the Samsung Rogue from Verizon but obviously now they have the whole $10 plan requirement thing..well my Mom doesn't want to pay for this and my other choice of phone was either a Razzle or a Samsung Intensity. I was wondering if these phones were worth it seeing as I would have to have whichever I chose for two years and I don't want to be stuck with another crap phone. So would anyone recommend I get one of these phones or continue trying to convince my mom to get the data plan? Is anyone else experianced problems with verizon wireless? Recently I got a line with verizon wireless and tank god I' am always looking over my billing statement, otherwise I would of been paying for things I never use nor planing to use. When I got the line I asked them to take txt msg off and internet off, and still someone texted me, then I noticed extra $15 on my statement for data plan which I never use. Two times I had to call them and ask them to take it off. Then my brother left to europe for 3 months and put his phone on hold with no billing, next thing I noticed we get a bill from his acount $385 with two late fees, I had to call them and fight with them, and they kept telling me that he had to call, I told him his in europe, and that I' am taking care of his stuff, I hade his ssn # password and my name was on the acount, they still refuced. It seams like verizon tries to do everything they can to get money out of people, I cant even imagine how much money they get from people who simply pay their bill without noticing all the extra fetures verizon added on there, it makes me sick to know this, since my grandmother has verizon and I just recently asked her how much she pays a month she told me $69.00 for 450 min, I was in disbelief, I could not belive that such a big company would do someting like this, its rediculous. Has anyone else experianced problems with them? And does anyone know why?

Can I sue Verizon Wireless? A few months ago I made the decision to order Verizon's internet service. I was informed that my connection would be established at date x. On date x my service was not available. I called the company and told them about my problem. I was told that the company didn't had any information under my name. This sounded very strange to me because I spent about 30 minutes on the phone giving all the information necessary to open an account. Verizon then told me that I would need to place a new order because they didn't had any information under my name. Once more I told them that I did placed my order before, but nothing was done. After giving all my information again I was told that my service would be established on date x. Before finishing my order I insisted that something wrong must had happened with my previous order, but the company didn't payed any attention to me. On date x , as I already expected my service was not ready to be used. I called the company and informed them about my new issue. They told me that a technician would come to my house between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. As I already expected he showed up 4:00 pm. The problem was solved and I finally had my internet service ready to be used right? WRONG. After a couple of weeks my internet service started to show connections problems during night ( the only time I had to use the service, because I go to school during the day and worked till late night). For my surprise I received two different bills for my internet service. One from my previous order that I was told didn't exist. After having so many problems I decided to cancel my service. I was told that I would have to pay a $70 cancellation fee, I told them that I would not pay for a cancellation fee because the service was totally unsatisfactory and asked to speak with a supervisor. After 4 hours with them on the phone the supervisor told me that I would not be charged for the $70 cancellation fee. She then told me that I would be transfered into the billing department. I insisted that she remained on the line and explained all the issues to the billing department because I knew that I would need to explain the situation over and over, she agreed but after being transfered I got answered by one of the recording machines. After 5 hours on the phone trying to solve my problem I got transfered to a talking machine. A few days later a called them once more and explained all the situation. This guy then told me that my cancellation fee would not be taken from my bill. After insisting and explaining all the issues I had with the company he then decided to take my cancellation fee away.A couple of weeks later a received a bill from Verizon stating that I owed the company $70, I called the company and explained all the situation again, the person who I talked to told me that in a few days I would receive another bill saying that my statement was $0. After a couple of weeks I received a bill from Verizon stating that my balance was $0. End of my nightmare right? WRONG. I just received a bill from a creditor company saying that Verizon is charging me $70. I have no energy to call verizon and I don't feel like it. Every time I call this garbage company they make me wait hours on the phone and never solve my problem. Note: I never stopped paying for my internet service before I canceled. Should I sue Verizon?

Verizon Wireless Question On June 25, 2008 I went online to check the status of my cell phone bill. I notice that there was an option to suspened automatic payment. I thought by suspending the payment would result in two months of payment the following month. Needless to say that is not the case. Payment is still due but by another means other than automatic payment. Anyways, my phone was turned off on the 26th of July. I went in on July 26th to get my phone turned back on. It cost me $171.35 to get it turned back on. Balance should have been zero at that point. Two days later, the automatic payment took another $171.35 from my account. After repeated attempts to have my money refunded to me Verizon has stated it could take weeks to get a check in the mail. I've had money refunded to me by them electronically before so I don't know why its a check now. Anyways, my rent is due and I will be late because I am a disable vet and also unemployed at this time. So my question is this. What do I need to do to get Verizon to cover the cost of my late rent? I feel like I erred by not paying it on time. However, they had the option to terminate my contract. They did not. Instead they opted to charge me twice. Especially since the auto payment went through two whole days after I made the payment. I don't think its my fault that their two systems don't talk to each other. By two systems I mean in store payment and automatic payment. 1. What can I do to get compensated for late rent? 2. Can I sue them also? Just an option right now.

Page plus, Verizon wireless, and the iPhone 4? Hi everyone...Ill try to sum this up in as few words as possible. Im currently using CricKet prepaid service AS OF NOW...CricKets service in my home and the area is terrible. The only other phone I have in the house is my iPhone 4 from Verizon. I applied for Verizon service and they are requiring a $400.00 deposit. Im definitely gonna have to save up for the deposit, but in the meantime, there is a prepaid service in the area called "page plus" that can put their service on it, similar to prepaid. If I decide to activate the iPhone on page plus, and decide later to get an account with verizon and disconnect the page plus service, can I still use that iPhone or will the page plus activation mess everything up for verizon???? Verizon Wireless call log question? On your cell phone, you can look at the list of recent calls. However, it condenses similar calls that are one after the other. For example, if I call someone twice in a row, it only shows one outgoing call, with the latest time stamp. If I receive several missed calls in a row from the same person, it only shows the latest one with the latest time stamp. Why doesn't it log each call individually? I would much rather it did that. Every Verizon phone with VCast (the uniform Verizon menus, not like when each phone had its own menu) that I have had has done this, as does the phone of everyone I know who has Verizon. I currently have an LG enV2.

Verizon Wireless 4G network question? I just bought an HTC Rezound, one of the latest phones in Verizon. It's a 4G LTE phone, but when I connect to it, it only connects to 3G. I only had 4G about once for a couple of minutes but for about a week its nothing but 3G. I don't know if its from my location, I mean I live in NYC. Or is it normal? Verizon Wireless New in 2 Question? I am getting emails saying I am eligible to get a new phone. I have had my current phone for a year and 7 months of the 2 year contract. I have never had the service interrupted, but I have paid my bill late a couple times, usually like a week or so. For instance my bill was due the 29th and I paid it on the 3rd. Verizon phone line working fine, INTERNET & wireless not working! HELP?!? This just happened all of a sudden. I came home from work one day and tried to go online but my Internet is NOT working. Usually when I just turn on my computer, it automatically connects to the Internet and I can go online. But now my wireless nor line is not working! I called verizon, they went through some basic steps like pulling out an replugging, and I did everything they told me but it's still not working! They told me the soonest they can send someone over to look at it is Friday! But I really can't wait till Friday or later because I gave a lot of wok to finish up. Verizon phone not "authenticated"? So a few days ago I got a notification on my LG Cosmos phone telling me to authenticate my phone. I called the number provided, and a voice machine told me that my phone had been 'authenticated'. A few hours later, my phone randomly disallowed me from sending or receiving any texts or calls. When I tried to make a call, a machine on the other line would tell me that "verizon is currently unable to authenticate your phone". Frankly, I have no idea what this means, and it's a real nuisance. My phone will randomly cut off all wireless communication, as if I have no service, even though my account registers as active online. If there are any verizon-savvy techies out there, I'd really appreciate the help. I tried calling the Verizon help system, but after getting hung up on by someone moron, I didn't call again.

Verizon Wireless Deposit for the SECOND Time? I purchased a phone last night, and unlike the last time I started my own plan, it went through completely without asking me for a deposit. Then I got an e-mail saying my purchase was undergoing credit approval. Ugh. I am 20 years old, and my credit score is around 710, and on the few store cards / phone payments, loan payments I have had in my life, I have never missed one / been late, ever. When I first opened my own Verizon account, I forked over a $400 deposit, never missed a payment, and had it returned to me in full when my parents decided I could go back on their family plan during college. Some stuff happened, and I want OFF the family plan - I'm just not sure if they will charge me another $400 deposit for the second time? What should I do about this? (Verizon Wireless)? At the beginning of every month I receive my cell phone bill for $38. This how it was since I signed up with Verizon at a non contract term. Just in August I signed a 2 year contract so that I can receive a new phone. Anyways all of the sudden I do not receive my bill as I usually do, I was wondering why not. I waited a whole week and nothing. The day before the due date I log online to pay and while on there I noticed a $125 credit towards my account and no payment due. I was like ohh cool, my grandma must of payed ahead of time, my family does that once in a while when I am struggling with money. I asked my mom she said yes its probably your grandma. My grandma and I don't communicate really, so I never called her to confirm that. Anyways so I go on with my day and week. Today I receive an email from Verizon stating that $96.00 was due immediately. I was like WTF?!? I called to ask them and they told me it was a mistake, that someone Else's payment was made towards my account. I asked them why $96.00? Their reason was for all sorts of late payments and penalties. I was shocked. I explain to them that obviously it was not a mistake on my part, so why I am I being punished. All they could tell me is that it was a mistake, no answer or solution. They just kept repeating to make the payment. >: ( I asked them why cant I just make the $38 payment as I have in the past, once again they start explaining that I was late. I then told them I never received a bill, I never received an email nothing, that I just logged on to make a payment and was unable due to $125 credit on my account. Once again they did not seam to have a solution besides telling me to make a payment. I am so furious right now, I am thinking about just not paying them a cent, and let them take me to court. I really don't wish to stay in contract with them. It just seams as if they take advantage of that, since I have no choice but to make the payment. Stuck text message - Verizon Krazr? I have a verizon wireless krazr. On Saturday I received a text message from a friend, read it and closed my phone. Later, I opened my phone and it showed a new message, but it was the one I had received and read earlier. I tried to open it again, but it wouldn't open and I am also not able to delete it. Verizon Wireless Early Termination after 4 months...? Heyyy Guys... I currently have a month to month plan.. my contract expired in september. What do you think about the alltel verizon merger? If you have alltel are you having any problems? Is there any way to get Verizon Wireless to waive a reconnect fee? I was late on my first verizon bill because of an emergency that came up. The bill was due October 27th and the check for the bill amount cleared my bank account on November 8. They shut the phones (4 total) off on the same day that the check cleared my account. So now they have charged me $15 per line to reconnect the phones. Is there any way to get them to waive that fee? I've called twice, spoke with a supervisor once and they refuse to waive the fee. Verizon Wireless Phone Upgrade? I got an LG Voyager probably over 2 years ago now and it was crap after 2 years. The touch screen was so annoying, it'd piss me off every time I would try to click something; it'd just click WAY off. Eventually both screens went black and I was not able to see a thing so I asked my dad for a replacement and got one shipped through the mail(we had to pay $50). This new Voyager's touchscreen is just as annoying. I didn't want to complain about it to my dad because it was hard enough trying to convince him to replace the first one, I didn't want to ask for another. Then they came out with another version of the Voyager about 2 weeks later. I was wondering if it was possible for me to get rid of this one I got shipped and upgrade for the new version of the Voyager? verizon wireless phone help? okay so i have the voyager and it always turns off and my texts dont come in till like 15 min later then they were sent it always freezes and sometimes doesnt charge i was gonna take it in to get it fixed or changed but i dropped it todayy and now their telling me its my fault cause i dropped it that wasnt the reason i wanted a new phone though so now their making me pay for a refurbished one when ive already gotten like 7 and theyve gotten me no where what can i do? hellppp please! lol

Why would a verizon wireless number pick up after one ring & just say The wireless customer is not available? Then it says please try your call again later. It's not voicemail & the phone isn't off b/c it still responds to text messages. Any ideas?

Does anyone know of a way to get out of a Verizon Wireless contract? Without paying the ridiculous disconnect fees? I am tired of explaining the story so I will cut it short. I have been a customer for 4 years and the past three months I have been on the phone arguing with them because each month there have been ridiculous charges to my account that they claim are correct. WHICH THEY ARE NOT! They are charging us for a regular plan and a shared plan when we should only be charged for a shared plan of 2 phones. Every time we call though the people refuse to do anything about it and the one time someone did somehow our next bill still posted the charges as late fees. We are tired of dealing with them and just want them to let us go! Any loop holes or anything? We can't afford to keep paying for their mistakes. They are being dictators and whatever they say we have to pay we have to pay. There has to be something wrong with that.

Verizon Wireless razr phone and have NO service for hours? Has this happened to you? I dont know if Im just parranoid or what, but the other morning I woke up and my cell phone said NO SERVICE, I couldnt make any calls or hit the #228 thing, it wouldnt allow me to do anything, I took it to work and also tried it on the way their, it just kept saying No Service. I called Verizon she was telling me all kinds of stuff to do to make it work, but none of it was working, so she told me to take it to the store, then about 20 min later the No Service Sign went away. I have a stalker, do you think he tried to do something to my phone, or has this happened to you before, I had this phone for over a year and never experienced this. Thanks

Why would a verizon phone tell you that the person you are trying to call is unavailable? I'm trying to get a hold of my friend, but for the last few days everytime i call it says "welcome to verizon wireless, the wireless customer you are trying to call is not available, please try your call again later". I was wondering if anybody knew what that meant? Does it mean hes blocking me? Or that his phone is shut off? I was just curious if anybody could answer my question. Thanks.

The issue is, I need a phone that must have a protective case. I keep mine in my pocket a lot, and I do not want the screen to get scratched. That virtually eliminates the Verizon Razzle and Samsung Intensity because the way they open seems to not accomodate for any type of case other than a slide-in case. I don't want to be taking the phone in and out of a case. I'm unsure if the HTC Ozone has a case, as I haven't found any as of yet. So that's still a consideration, unless a case isn't available for it at all. Then there's the Samsung Alias 2...a weird looking phone with some kind of ability to change the keypad to go from numbers to a texting keyboard. Anyone know how this works? The hinge looks awfully flimsy on that. Finally, the Blackberry Curve 8330. Of those 3...which has a better battery life, biggest keypad space/keys and the ability to put a clear case over them? This is what I'm working with and have narrowed it down..please do not suggest any other types of phones. I would be ordering two of the same thing, once I narrow it down to the "best one" for the above features. A Select family plan with unlimited texting/instant messaging/calls to other verizon phones, and 700 anytime minutes per month for $99. Are there any hidden fees within this plan that I would need to know? When it says unlimited texting/instant messaging and unlimited calls to other verizon customers...I don't want to get a phone bill later on for hundreds of dollars because of some stupid fine print that I missed somewhere. I see they charge a $25 and $20 activation fee online.

Cell Phone Problems? Want to Argue? How? Verizon wireless is charging way too much!! Please Help? I recently signed a verizon wireless contact for 5 lines. The day before I signed the contract I went and signed a one line contract to test the service. I liked the service so I went back the next day and told the sales clerk to CANCEL the one line contract and open a new one with 5 lines for my business name. So I spent about 5 hours of my saturday afternoon making sure everything was right. She said the monthly charges would be about $250. Twenty days later I got a bill for $541! I went back to the store and argued with the manager for another 3 hours and she said she would solve the problem. Apparantely the original sales clerk had not cancelled my original one line contract and had taken the phone without documenting it. I went home thinking it was fixed. Today,I got two bills, one for $363 and one for $59. I called Verizon and spent 4 hours talking to a manager to get this solved. She said she did. Today i got a bill for $359. How do I argue this? Not afraid to cancel.

Verizon Wireless Question? well, i have verizon wireless and im on a family plan. My parents added a line for me and got me a phone in late April 2008. I accidently broke that phone and i got a crappy new one. Now i want to get a new phone and someone told me that all i have to do is buy a new phone at the two year contract price and then just renew my contract. is that possible??? or do i have to buy the phone at retail value (which is pretty expensive)..... thanx =] my contract is up in like november of 2009!! i dont want to wait that long

Where can I find legitimately free ring tones for my new phone? I have a Samsung u740 with Verizon Wireless? I definitely don't want to ruin my new phone by getting any type of virus or getting stuck with unexpected subscriptions to some joke of the day junk, etc. I'm just looking to get free ringtones because the ones that come with the phone are cheesy and I don't want to pay $2.00 each or whatever it is now only to have them tell me later, "Oh, you can't transfer all those downloads to your new phone!" I paid so much money to legitimately download games, ringtones, etc and I feel ripped off now that I have yet another new phone that I can't have all those things that I paid for, moved to... know what I mean? I forgot my verizon wireless password, but i don't have text messaging. how can i still use my account? i used to have text messaging so i registered for an account on verizonwireless.com, a few months later i had my texting taken off but forgot my account password. my ringbacktone is expired and now i have some dumb mozart thing playing when people call my cell phone. how can i change that without verizon texting me my password so i can use my account again?

Is anyone out there who owns Verizon LG EnV2 and has gone to Japan and used it? I checked Verizon Wireless website. It tells me that I can use my phone in Japan. But I have had an experience in the past that "international phone" didn't work in Japan (worked in Korea, Australia, and China). Later I heard Japan has a different system, but this was pre 3G time. I guess I want to know a living proof!

Do prepay phones get billed? If you own a prepay phone, do you get billed through mail? I have a verizon wireless prepay phone and i added 45 dollars to it. Does that mean it just charges your credit card (I entered my credit card number) or does it come in the mail a few weeks later so you can pay? Also what about if you get unlimited texting? Does that come in the mail as a 20.00 charge too?

Verizon wireless blackberry pearl? I am interested in buying a blackberry pearl for verizon wireless and when i looked at it online, i saw that you MUST purchase the email feature which costs an additional $30.00/mo. My question is.... is there anyway you can purchase the phone without getting the email? does anyone have this phone with no email? is there a way around buying it? i know, i know, what is the point in buying this particular phone if you don't want email, but it costs too much right now, i want to wait and buy the email feature at a later date if it is possible.
