ATT/verizon or US cellular wireless phone plans? We have ATT wireless with all our family and can talk free to each other in any state, but my brother know wants to change to US Cellular, can we still talk free if we all have US Cellular???
Can I activate a US Cellular bought phone at Verizon? My dad has a Blackberry that he bought at US Cellular which is totally sweet, I have Verizon and I know that they offer Blackberry phones at their stores, but since I am already a Verizon wireless customer, would they activate a US Cellular phone on my Verizon plan? Or make me buy a new one?
Ending a Verizon Wireless Phone Plan Early? Well my family has a verizon wireless cell phone plan and we are planning to switch to U.S. Cellular but our 2-year plan with verizon ends in July, but I really want a new phone so is there any way you can end your plan early for a small fee possibly?
I need a new US Cellular phone? Okay. Well..I really need a new phone. My plan is US cellular..and I dont know which phone to get. I love a lot of the Verizon Wireless phones but my mom wont let me swich plans. I would like one with either a keyboard or a touch screen. thank you in advance for answering this question=]
Should I re-enroll w. my CELLULAR phone or change to a wireless system? Hi all, I am trying to decide whether I should re-enroll my Celluar telephone service or change to a wireless phone co. in addition to my home telephone line. My Cellular phone contract will expire in March so I am looking at any other option I have available. I plan to keep my home landline service as my ISP is a dial-up server. I reason that since my dial-up ISP costs only $10, I should keep it for this price. I am still under my Cellular contract with a monthly $30.00 fee. - I have kept this "cheaper" cellular service with my "older than dirt" cell phone. LUCKILY, this phone has had no "serious" repair needs.......... until recently. My battery is wearing out and I may need to replace it at a higher cost for each battery I buy. I am offered to "upgrade" to a $50 service w. my cell phone carrier. I am considering to change to WIRELESS phone server (maybe VERIZON?) Help me decide which is my best option and help me consider any oversight I am not considering. Thanks.
3G wireless cards for the new macbook pro, probably verizon card? All of my family uses verizon wireless for phones. Maybe that helps in my question. On http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/wireless.html, it says "3G wireless cards. No Wi-Fi? No problem. With the ExpressCard slot in MacBook Pro and a 3G wireless card, connect to the Internet anywhere there's a cellular network." Well that sounds great! Only problem is is that how do I get a wireless card, and do I need to buy a plan? Thanks. LINKS ARE GOOD!!! Link to where I found the "3G wireless cards. No Wi-Fi? No problem. With the ExpressCard slot in MacBook Pro and a 3G wireless card, connect to the Internet anywhere there's a cellular network." http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/wireless.html "Yes. You need a plan. If you go to Verizon's website, they will offer free ExpressCard modems for your laptop which allows you to connect to their 3G network. The plan price is $60/month for unlimited usage." $60 extra off of your phone plan??
Will Alltel's Scoop work with Verizon Wireless? -Merger Question? My family and I are currently on US Cellular. We are planning on joining Verizon Wireless April 1st with a family plan. Everyone's happy except for one of the family who insists that the LG Scoop is the phone for her. The Scoop is on Alltel and a friend of her's is selling her "pink" scoop. If my sister buys the scoop off her friend, will s he be able to get it activated with Verizon Wireless?
Do you know how a cellular company tracks restricted phone calls to my cell phone? I have recieved about 40 obscene phone calls to my cell phone under a restricted number, so it cannot be listed when the person calls. I called the police and filled out a report and I also called the Verizon wireless customer service and they tell me the police must contact them to get ahold of the person who is calling me. I am becoming afraid. At first, it was amusing and I thought the person would give up and tell me his name. Now he is just using filthy obscene sexual gestures. What to do next. I have had this phone number for the last 4 yrs and have no plans on changing it. Do you think the cellular company will eventually spill his name? I turned in a report to a police investigator. I just want to know if the phone company will give his name to the police. I want to know who is doing this to me.
To get or not to get a Verizon data plan? So i'm in an odd situation. I have to switch from my current carrier (US Cellular) to Verizon wireless. I was looking at their basic phones because that's what I have now (talk and text), but they all kinda suck. I'm really leaning towards the Driod bionic but the problem is the data plan make my $50 a month plan $80 a month. I'm trying to decide if this is worth it. Here is my situation device wise. I already have a 4th gen iPod touch, I use it for just about everything and use my phone for texting and calls. At my apartment I have 20mps internet and at my job (Bestbuy ) there is Wifi. The reason I consider a data plan is that there are times where i'll be in a part of the city that only has locked wifi or super slow wifi. Things I use the internet for. -Keeping up with technology news (cnet, mac rumors, ext) -Facebook -Google plus -messanger -evernote -Game news ( I am a game design major) -occasional directions (with pre downloaded maps on my iPod) -email (business and personal) Thanks
Verizon Wireless Service for people who have it and know? Important question? Advice please? I have U.S. Cellular right now and I have serive EVERYWHERE. U.S. Cellular doesn't have very good phones though and it's quite expensive. I was thinking about switching to verizon, but I have a verizon wireless internet card for my laptop and it doesn't work very well at all so I am about to stop paying for it, but I thought maybe the phone service was better. On the front page of Yahoo verizon was voted as the best service in the US. I live in Oklahoma and I would like to have as good of service. I would also like to know if I could get a decent price for a plan with not many minutes, but unlimited texting, internet, and nights and weekends? Help please :D
Is the ATT Unlimited pre-paid plan to ALL networks? Most phones around here are Verizon Wireless and US Cellular, I'm trying to look for the best deal to get my niece. Does AT&T unlimited pre-paid cover all networks? I looked into Boost but they dont have great service in our area.
Can I upgrade my phone as usual after doing this? I have Verizon Wireless as my cellular phone service provider and was wondering when my next upgrade would be. It normally is every second December (the last time being December 2009), but last August I acquired an old BlackBerry 8530 Curve from a friend. I bought a data plan and switched to this BlackBerry. Would my upgrade still come this December? Or will I have to wait till August 2012? I searched for the answer on my Verizon Wireless account online but got nowhere. Thanks!

I'm looking for my 1st cell phone/wireless plan? I might be the last person on this green Earth that doesn't have a cell phone. I've avoided it at all costs. Now, it's time to get one. I live in the Midwest. Looks like my options are Cingular, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, Alltel, and Sprint. Any suggestions on what's good?

How can i convince my mom to get me a plan? she doesn't want the plan for herself but me, my brother, and my sister want a good plan and it can b ANY cellphone company..verizon wireless, at&t, us cellular..just any good deal!! please help $30 gives me 300 minutes for 2 months and it costs $.30 to send and recieve text messages :/ and my phone has no wifi
What's the best way to switch cell-phone carriers? My contract with Verizon Wireless is now over, the plan I have with them doesn't suit my lifestyle, and my phone is now somewhat archaic. I'd like to switch to U.S. Cellular because I've heard great things, and their plans/phones suit my lifestyle much better. So, would I have to terminate with VW first before I switch to USC? I'd also like to keep my same phone number.
Changing phone plans? I was wondering if the Env2 from verizon wireless would work for the u.s. cellular service plan.. I just got the Env2 and am switching phone companies and really dont want to buy a new phone, so im hoping that this will work with the us cellular service.
What wireless company should I choose?!?!? I want a cool phone and unlimited text and calls. I currently have sprint but my contract will be up and I don't think I want to re-up my contract with Sprint. I need good service... I am looking into a solo plan as I am 18 and can leave my family plan or a family plan to get my family on board... who do I choose?!?!... Verizon, tmobile, us cellular?!?! thanks phone will be used mostly in illinois and michigan
Which cell phone provider should i choose? Im currently on a 2-year contract with us cellular that ends august 2008. My parents currently pay my cell phone bill but they told me when i turn 18 which is august 2008 i will have to sign my own contract because i just got a job. Should i stay with us cellular or find a new company. Please rank us cellular, verizon wireless, sprint, tmobile, and cingular from 1 to 5 and why. me and my girlfreind, cousin, and clostest female freind were thinking of goiing on 1 plan and split cost.. its in singles and dating because Im dating a girl that works for Verizon LOL
Do you think that Cricket phone company is cheaper than other phone companies? I am planing on switching and my local area is currently Chicago is it cheaper than U.S cellular,Mobile,Sprint,AT&T,Verizon Wireless and other carriers in chicago. I am looking for a family plan of 3 lines with Unlimited text messaging on all lines! Thank you for all you help and Time! Thanks! I don;t really care about what kind of phones they offer.
Anyone on US Cellular?? So I've been having some troubles with my Motorola W385 lately and its only a couple months old. I take pretty good care of it. I was wondering if I would have to set up a whole new phone plan and pay a fee if I just bought a phone and had US Cellular program it? Could I stay on my same plan?? (I know you can do that with Verizon Wireless)
PagePlus Cellular? Any good? Anyone use them? Please give me your input...? Looking to activate my CDMA Verizon phone with Page Plus, and see their unlimited talk and text plus 20mb of data plan, Do they REALLY activate ANY Verizon CDMA Phone? I have a LG Chocolate 3...But may get like a LG Env 2 or something like that...I was told some Verizon phones (Blackberrys, Touch screens, can't be activated on any prepaid network, is this true?) What is the start up cost? Or do I just give them the ESN number of my CDMA Verizon phone & buy the $39.95 card or just add a even $40 to the Page Plus account? (Please let me know how this works :) I am just curious for anyone out there that may have them, are the reliable, safe to deal with (credit card numbers or should I pay them with paypal if I can etc?) How is the service? Is it the same coverage area as Verizon's Prepaid InPulse plans? Does it cost to send and receive picture messages? It says talk and text, does this mean only standard text messages? How is their customer service ? Does they give you a full 30 days for $39.95 ? I was with a previous carrier who said they give you 30 days but I bought my air time on the 15th of the month, my phone was off the morning of the 13th of the next month, (not very fair in my opinion and false advertising I believe) If you use or used Page Plus please let me know your experiences with them.. Please don't tell me about Straight Talk Wireless, I don't wanna buy a new phone when I have a good one already... Thank you!! :-)
What phone plan will work for me? (and phone also)? I love texting and pic/video messaging. I don't use voice very often. I don't have alot of money. (less than $50 month to spend) Contract or pay as you go (doesnt matter) I recomend verizon wireless. Any durable phones that don't break to easily. Please help me. ***I used to have page plus cellular pay as you go service but I ended up spending $10 worth of phone cards in 2 days and my texts were really expensive. Also with Pge plus you can't send or receive pictures (atleast I couldn't anyways).*** Oh yea *qwerty keyboard* would be useful.

Can I use an env3 On Pageplus cellular? I want to buy an env3 off of ebay and I was wondering if it would work with pageplus wireless. And if the env3 had a previous monthly plan from verizon on it (not a prepaid plan) would it still work with page plus. I heard about the ban that pageplus had on some phones and I was wondering if the env3 was included in it.
What do you think about Alltel? Alltel is America's largest wireless network, and the 5th largest mobile cellular phone carrier in the United States. It competes with the big 4 companies such as AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. Alltel has phones that are built onto the CDMA network. In the past, Alltel has accquired on several small phone companies. It extends it's National Freedom coverage and is now offering North American Freedom plan that's extends from Canada to Mexico. Alltel has a great feature, My Circle. They updated their feature in which u can add up to 20 numbers, depending on the service plan that you sign up to. I want to know some opinions about what you like or don't like about Alltel. List any details on why you think Alltel is the best or the least cellular phone company other than the big 4. Tell me would you or would you not sign a contract with Alltel and explain why. What phone features and phone plans do you like or don't like. Give me a whole summary about your opinions about Alltel.
Prepaid Cellular - Virgin Mobile or PagePlus? Any recommendations? Any experience with these carriers? I currently have a Verizon Wireless plan, but I rarely use my phone (less than 200 minutes per month). I never text, and never surf the Internet, and I don't care about ringtones or that extra stuff. I've read that PagePlus uses the Verizon network, and that I would be able to port my number and phone over. My wife has Virgin Mobile, which seems to work okay, but I don't know if their network is as good. I'd also like a carrier that has better rural coverage, since I sometimes travel outside of more populated areas.
Can I use an unlocked samsung propel on the Verizon network? There is a phone being sold on ebay that says it is unlocked to be able to used the following carriers: Amp'd Mobile, Cellular South, Helio, Metro PCS, Boost Mobile, nTelos, Cellular One, Disney, SunCom, Qwest, Net10, Bell Mobility, Fido, Rogers Wireless, Cricket, U.S. Cellular, Telus, Alltel, AT&T, Cingular, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, TracFone, Verizon, Virgin Mobile. is that possible? or is the ebay seller wrong? I heard that you can use and at&t phone with Verizon and just not use a sim card...but not the other way around because you need a sim card for Verizon...is that true? and does the samsung propel require a data plan?
best cell phone company to go with (want to keep the same number)? I have us cellular right now. But I'm on some else's plan. I want to get a two phone plan. I live in southern oregon. I want something with free incoming calls, nights and weekends (nights starting a 7) and like 500+ texts. What the best? There's Verizon Wireless, AT&T, US Cellular, and Sprint
What cell phone company would be the best option? For future reference, my boyfriend and I want to get on the same phone plan when our current contracts expire, and we were wondering what the best companies would work for us? We don't need the full data packages, all we'd like would be enough minutes since we won't use it as a home phone or anything, to talk to our family members and friends, and unlimited text messaging will definitely be added on. We don't need internet or anything like that, we have our personal computers for that. The phone companies we have looked at are Sprint, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular, and T-Mobile We are currently long-distance, but planning on moving in with one another, and we would like to find a phone plan that won't drain our pockets, but also meet our needs. Any help would be so awesome! Thanks <3
Any smart phones that don't require a data plan? Basically, I want to buy a smart phone (full price) and subscribe it only to voice wireless service (no data). I want a phone that is WiFi capable, but I don't want to pay extra for a data plan that I will never use. It seems like Sprint and Verizon don't allow this... they will only activate smart phones if you subscribe to their overpriced data plans (regardless of whether you buy the $600 phone full price from the manufacturer). Is this true or is there a way to do what I want? PS. I realize one could just buy the phone and use VOIP, but I want to keep my cellular voice service -- just I want to use it via a smart phone without being raped for a data plan that I will never use. I realize most people that buy a smart phone are getting it because they plan on using the Internet -- however there must be others like me who think $30/month for a horribly slow speed is not worth it when we can just use WiFi that we already subscribe to. I thought about the SIM cards -- I wasn't sure if they were smart enough to detect SIM swapping yet, but it seems AT&T is the only US provider that uses GSM (SIM cards)

Is this a good computer? Okay, I've posted 2 other questions about this, but this is my final one. Im looking for a laptop for myself, a 14 year old 8th grader. I will use it greatly for school projects, pictures, editing those pictures, music and a downloadable game or two. I need a computer that runs very smoothly for the game and has a lot of storage for many programs. I will be using the laptop every day for the game (Combat Arms, a war game) and for school things and music and so on. I have to have a laptop, and the computer I'm looking at right now is called a Studio 15 by Dell. I've loaded it with some good things, and I'll post those in a moment. The price is very pricey, $2,194 because I've put on some of the best things into the laptop. I will be doing a plan though where I pay $66 a month. Plus, its no interest until October, 2009 and im hoping I can pay off the whole thing by then, and I think I can. So the question is, when you look at the information about the laptop that I've posted below, and you know the requirements I need, is this a good computer? Any comments or suggestions? Changes I should make? Thanks in advance! ;D This is all the information on the page. I hope it helps! Sorry if it looks confusing... Will this happen if I keep the same cell phone number when changing wireless carriers? The statements below are from an article that is not too dated but also not too current either. Is there any truth to this? "When you sign up for cellular service with a new carrier you are assigned a new phone number even if you plan to use your existing phone number. Your newly assigned phone number becomes the Service Set Identifier (SSID) for the phone because when you use an old cellular number on a new service that phone number still belongs to say, Verizon, even though you’re on say, Sprint. The SSID allows your phone to be identified by the new home cellular system and the calls to your old cellular number are forwarded by the system to your “new” cellular number that is hidden in your phone as the SSID. So you’ll always be given a new phone number with a new provider even if you are keeping your old number and there will be a slight delay in getting calls on the new system using your old number because your calls are “forwarded” to you first by the new system."
Can my cell phone provider do this to me??!!? I was going to let my 2-year contract with U.S. Cellular expire on March 15 and not continue service with them. I informed my local U.S. Cellular representitive of this. I was switching to Verizon Wireless and wanted my number ported over to their service. I received a bill in the mail today, from U.S. Cellular, charging me 150 dollars for early cancellation of my contract. I did not cancel my contract! I let it expire! It seems that when Verizon Wireless switched my number over, it automatically ended my plan TWO DAYS before the expiration. I was never informed this would happen. Is there anything I can do?
Should I dump my landline (home phone)? I have Verizon Wireless (personal), Page Plus Cellular Unlimited Talk n Text (work), and Skype (VoIP). My 77 yr old father has Verizon Wireless. My brother has Nextel National Free Incoming 300 Plan, but going to switch to Page Plus Cellular Unlimited Talk n Text, They both use Yahoo! Voice, Google Voice, and Skype for international calling. So, what is your opinion: should we disconnect the landline we had for 13 years? If possible, please explain your opinion. You can also add any suggestions, if you wish, Thank you in advance. :-)

Right now i have iwireless and i dont even get service a mile away from my house in my friends basement. i have to pay for my phone on my own and so i need help. should i get us cellular which i think could be very expensive....and idk what plan i would get (i need good coverage everywhere and internet and unlimited texting) or verizon wireless or some other thing. please help. im not some rich lady ima middle class chick in hs just tryin to get a better network coverage for my phone with internet and unlimited texting and possibly at least free incoming calls. please help!!! :)
Cell phone plan? Okay, so I have verizon wireless. I have unlimited texting, and I have 350 minutes per month. My best friend has U.S Cellular, and she has unlimited texting as well. Even though I have unlimited text, does it waste my minutes for me to text her & vice versa, since she's on a different plan?
can i put a verizon wireless phone, on u.s cellular network? i have uscellular and i need a new phone... and all the basic phones at uscellular all are cheapy feeling and are slow... and all the other phones are smartphone android things. and i don't want one of those.. (they're way too complicated and i cant afford the extra monthly data plan fee)... so i'm really obsessed with the samsung alias 2 phone from verizon wireless... i love that it flips 2 different ways!.. do you think i could buy one from ebay and bring it to uscellular and tell them "my current phone isn't working well, could i use this verizon phone just until i have enough money to buy a new phone?"... what do you think? do you think i can do this? ive heard uscellular is really stubborn about things.. but if i told them its just temporary do you think thatd work?.. please help i really love the samsung alias but i cant switch to verizon.... 10 points for the best answer that helps me the most!
What's the Best cell phone company? I currently have T-Mobile. I alwaysss lose service randomly when I'm not even in a building. So, I'm planning on switching once my contract is up. What's the best? T-Mobile AT&T Sprint U.S. Cellular Verizon Wireless ?
