Can I remove data package from a env2 verizon cell phone? I recently bought a used LG Envy2 verizon cell phone off craigslist for my replacement phone and I tried to activate it on the verizonwireless website, but it said i have to pay $19.99/m for data package but I don't want it. Can I remove it? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Verizon cell phone upgrade gives me how much of a discount? I am eligible for an upgrade through Verizon on August 17. Although it won't be 2 years that I've have my cell phone until December of this year. If the cell phone I have now is the LG VX5400 and I want to upgrade to the LG ENV3 (once I am eligible) how much will I have to pay? On the Verizon website the LG ENV3 is $79.99. So If I buy it through there how much would it approximately be? I just read your response... the env3 is not $299.99... it is $129.99 for full retail. The online discount price is $79.99. So if I am eligible for an upgrade don't I get a $100 loyalty cash thing? wouldn't that mean I could pretty much get it for free if I buy it online?

cell phone question.. i have the LG Rival from verizon please help? when i first got this phone, it would vibrate 8 quick times when i got a text, then after a while it only vibrated once and now it vibrates alot when i get a text. like someone is calling me. im 99% sure i didnt change any of the settings. how can i change this?

Verizon wireless cell phone insurance help? I have the total equipment coverage (I believe; its the 6.99 or 7.99 monthly one on an "advanced device") on my lg enV Touch which I have had since last September before the 9.99 monthly dxata plan was required for this cell phone. I was told by a verizon worker that if I need this phone replaced, the replacement would need this data plan. My parents said I can not get the replacement if I need this data plan because they already pay for the insurance/ plan. I offered to pay it myself but they pointed out that they are my only source of income, yet they will not let me get a job. Now my brother broke my phone (touch screen and camera are shattered) because he was mad at me for something I was unaware of and my little bro and I have to pay the $89 deductable to file the claim on my phone (split it 50/50). I noticed that through the insurance papers that the phone will be replaced with a new or "certified like new" replacement phone. The last thing I want is to be without a phone, but I would hate paying for a refurbished phone and will be very angry if the phone I get is refurbished. Are there any loopholes or any ways of pursuading verizon to give me a NEW phone without the "required" data plan??? Thanks for any help!!! P.s. my other option is purchasing a new (no contract) lg dare off of ebay to put on my current line because after the $89 insurance claim fee and $10 a month this would be cheaper and the Dare has none of the problems of the enV Touch. Verizon cell phone upgrade question! Please help I am desperate!? Please I have been researching this ALL day trying to find an answer.... I am eligible for an upgrade on August 17, 2009. Although my 2 years won't be up until December 2009. I currently have the VX5400 Verizon phone. I want to get the LG ENV3. The 2 yr. contract price is $129.99 and the online discount makes it $79.99. If I buy it online with my upgrade how much will it cost? Someone told me that the online discount IS the price you pay with an upgrade. That didn't sound right because if that was the case anyone (whether they had an upgrade available or not) could buy it at that price. What I think is that my upgrade is either worth $50.00 or $100.00 I'm not sure which... But if I buy it online would that be subtracted from the online discount price, thus making my phone either $29.99 or free according to how much the upgrade is worth? Phew...

verizon cell phone return question? help please!? hi, i bought an lg vx8350 online (it was my upgrade time) for 79.99. after a few days of owning that, i decided i wanted an env, so i returned it at a verizon wireless booth, where they made the exchange. however, because of the $50 price difference, i needed to put 50 upfront, and i would get 50 back with a mail in rebate. now im thinking of getting a chocolate. the chocolate is advertised at 79.99, the original price of the vx8350 i paid for. i have heard though, that once you mail the mail in-rebate form, you may not make any exchanges. is this true? because i would be willing to not get the $50 from the mail in rebate back if i could just make the exchange. help please! thankss i am still within the 30 days of owning the env.

If you are in a daily prepaid plan do you you get charged daily if you text? I got a verizon LG prepaid cell phone and so far it's great. My question is since I got the $1.99 daily plan which mean I have unlimited mobile to mobile calling, unlimited weekend and night calling and 5 cents per text. If I text or recieve a text do I still have to pay the daily amount since it says it only charges for calls made and recieved or is it seperate?

Will my insurance on my cell phone cover this? Ok ... so my roommate got mad and long story short she threw my LG Voyager at the wall a couple times. Looking for a good cell phone? Alright.. im getting very pissed off. I recently spent over 90 bucks on a KIN ONEm cell phone from Verizon Wireless... I've had it a little less than a month and my microphone has decided to quit working. It never connects to the KIN network... I looked on the Verizon site for a new phone and im getting irritated from not finding a good phone. Im a teenage girl so im picky bout the phone im to get. I cant have a data package phone but i really want a IPhone. Ive had the Samsung Intensity 1 and KIN ONEm and thats it... Samsung Intensity was alright but i wanted a better phone and the KIN seemed to suit my needs... It failed epically. All in all i need suggestions on a good texting phone that isnt a dinosaur flip phone. It needs to be under 60 bucks... and if it is to have a data package it has to be something like the LG EnV Touch which is 9.99 per month which isnt bad. Any ideas?

How can I minimize megabyte usage on a cell phone data plan? I have recently bought a new phone from Verizon Wireless, the LG enV touch. Verizon now requires data plans on all of their smart phones and multimedia phones. Therefore, I have had to purchase a $9.99 data pack with my phone plan. The $9.99 only goes up to 25 MB of mobile web browsing and all that other stuff included with the $9.99 data plan (which I'm still not totally sure of). I got my phone less than a week ago, and I have already racked up about 16 MB used. I use mobile email a lot, because I don't have texting, so I can use email to send her texts from anywhere in the world, so I am repeatedly signing in and out in random spurts. After I go past 25 MB, I can't use the phone anymore for its multimedia features, so I was wondering, is there any way I can minimize the usage on my phone so after a week, it's more like I'm around 5 MB used as opposed to 15 MB used?

Can I use this on my cell phone plan? I am getting a new phone and I was told and read all over the internet that the LG Fathom can be used as a prepaid phone. The only thing is that my plan is the $.99 plan where when I call someone that is verizon it takes $.99 out of my account for the day. Cell Phone Provider Question? Hi guys, Lately i've been looking for a cell phone provider. I'd like a qwerty,music phone with unlimited texting. My family is currently using Pay-As-You go phones. We spend about $50 a month on those phones. I was looking at Sprint phones and i saw the Rumor by LG and i thought that'd be perfect. I could get the $49.99 plan with 450 anytime minuets, unlimited texting, unlimited mobile to mobile and unlimited nights and weekends. Then i saw add a line for $10 and i thought that'd be perfect only $10 more a month and i get a mp3 player out of the deal (mine just broke). so overall the total with the phone and the plan would be $99.99. Then after the 1st payment i'd add a line and it'd be $59.99 a month. So i was wondering if there was a better deal i could get form Verizon or Alltel. (remember i still want a qwerty music phone and unlimited texting.) Thanks in Advance

Tips on Manually Changing a Cell Phone Number? My wife and I have recently renewed our Verizon contract, and in doing so changed from 2 Motorola RazR phones to 2 LG 8350 phones. My speaker on the LG 8350 no longer works (washing machine), but we still have a fully-functional Motorola RazR linked unfortunately to my wifes phone number. Is there a way to re-link that old phone to my phone number instead? (To get a replacement LG 8350, which I love, they've asked for $199.99)

Can I upgrade my Verizon phone, activate then sell the upgrade, and change pricing back to my old phone? I currently own an LG Voyager and am well past my 2-year contract to a free upgrade period. I am perfectly happy with the phone I have. As I'm sure you've already figured out, what I'm trying to figure out here is if I have an opportunity to make a profit by upgrading my line to a new phone (using my discount) and then selling the new phone for a price slightly under retail. I understand that I am agreeing to another 2 years by upgrading and that it would advance my upgrade date to another 20-22 months. I'm not concerned at all about it. I'm the type of person that owned a cell since 2000 and have never purchased insurance on any of them. If I lose my Voyager or if it breaks I still have a real old VX4400 that I could activate, old phones are a dime a dozen now. What I'm concerned most about are the following: 1) Do I have to activate the new phone? 1a) (If Yes to 1) Do I have to take the new phone out of the box to activate it? 2) Am I stuck with the new data plan or can I move back down to my Nationwide 450 ($39.99) plan once I sell the new phone? 3) Have you done this yourself?

Question about cell phone plans and deposits? 1, if I for examle got a phone plan for 900 minutes at 59.99, is that like a flat rate that I would be paying each month? (not including taxes). #2, I have no credit history and i've read that providers like at&t or verizon require deposits. Does anyone have a range as to how much a deposit would be for either a blackberry pearl, sony ericsson W580i, or LG shine? Are the deposits based on your plan or phone type or both?

Parents advice about giving teens cell phones? Ok I'm 16, but I want another parents advice about this. I have a job currently and I really want the LG enV Touch by Verizon because my mother is thinking about switching to Verizon shortly. (I do not currently have a phone.) I saved all the money needed to buy the actual phone ($99.99) and I agreed to pay $26 a month for my portion of texting and insurance on the phone. They seemed to be unsure about the whole thing since the original agreement was that I achieve all As on my report card but I got ONE B THAT WAS AN 85! and so I suggested I could pay about $40 a month to help out when my paychecks allowed. My dad says I need to come up with a new goal that I can reach in about a month and he will try to help me get it. Please tell me if I should have the phone in the first place? New required Verizon Wireless data plans? My Verizon contract expires in March, and I'm interested in upgrading my cell phone. I've been waiting to do so for a long time. I currently have the LG Chocolate 2, and to put it nicely, it sucks. I didn't even want that phone, but my parents made me choose a free phone when I lost my other one, and that was one of the only options. Anyway, I had my eye on the LG enV Touch for the longest time. A couple of weeks ago, I was checking out Verizon's phones when I noticed ALL of the phones with QWERTY keyboards are requiring a $9.99 data plan on top of your monthly plan. The problem is, data plans cover internet usage, and I do not use the internet on my phone. I talked to a Verizon representative and told them that I would not be needing this feature and they told me I needed to pay that monthly fee in order to have one of those phones. Now, these phones aren't even smart phones, so I think it's ridiculous they are charging a data package rate. I DO NOT need this! My parents are refusing to pay for this, so that means I'll end up with a flip phone again. Anyway, my question is, if I end my contract with Verizon in March, and remove my line, can I go through a website that sells Verizon phones like letstalk.com, and pay for a new plan as if I'm a new customer to Verizon? As far as I can tell, this would eliminate the data plan fee. Am I correct? Please no rude comments. Don't tell me that I'm spoiled, and I don't deserve a new phone. I'm a straight "A" student, and definitely think I've earned this. I don't deserve your criticism. Thanks. That sucks. My parents mentioned switching to AT&T or Boost, but we're reluctant to because the Verizon IN network was a huge benefit to us (almost all of our friends and family have Verizon). I wonder if I threaten to leave, Verizon will negotiate...doubt it. They are such con-artists!

Verizon Wireless Store? Hey Im 14 and I really like cell phones and gadgets and crap like that I recently talked with my dad about getting an Iphone or a Blackberry storm. Ok well I went to the Verizon Store today to test out the Blackberry storm to see if I really wanted it. Well I go in there and I am asked a whole bunch of questions and crap and then I reveal that I want a Blackberry Storm and the Owner comes out. Well they were talking about it. Then just out of no where the owner starts yelling at me and saying NO YOU DONT NEED A BLACKBERRY STORM. THERE NOT FOR YOUR AGE, AND THERE ONLY FOR EMAILING. Then tryna explain the 29.99 dollar fee... WELL if I didnt know about the damn fee I wouldnt want the phone. But I know about the fee thats why Im in there. It just pissed me off, that store is definately not getting my business.. Do u think that I should still get the Blackberry Storm or Iphone or just break down and go for the cheaper LG Voyager Titanium?
