Anyone have any early upgrade issues with Att cell phone plans? I'm looking to get the new iphone and am not upgradable till jan 09....I just wonder if I put up enough fuss saying I've been a loyal customer for years, no late payments etc and last resort will pay the amount to end my contract and go somewhere else....would they just give in and let me upgrade now?

Question on att cell phone plans? Okay well i have had att for several years now and i have the unlimited texting plan. It says it includes unlimited text, picture, and video messages and my question is does a picture message require an internet plan to download and send. I do not have a data plan (and data is blocked on the phone)

cell phone plans (att verizon ect)? my family had tmobile for a long time (like 3-4 years) but in June we got rid of them because they sent us a $500 bill and we couldnt pay it. But since then, we have tried to go with ALLL companies (verizon, att, boost, nextel, sprint, everything!) but the rates were so much. We would need 4 cellphones. For Verzion, they needs a $2000 deposit and $400 per line (just line, not phone!) it was crazy. Then ATT Wanted $2600 and $400 per line&phone. Sprint only accpet 2 phones and wanted 800 per extra line within a year. Are these normal!?!?!?!!? My dad and mom both have really (like. realllllly) bad credit and going without phones has been heck for us. No one can get in contact with my dad at work and he has forgotten about myself and sister at school (i was left there for 2 hours cause i couldnt get in contact with anyone!!!) We do have prepaid phones, but we are paying like $200 a month per phone (4) and my dad and sister go throught their minutes in like 2 days! What can we do? Are there any ways we COULD get an actual company name plan without paying these outrageous rates? MY parents dont really want to keep up with the prepaid because its getting so expensive and hugely annoying to have to keep my minutes! no no no, i realize you have to pay a deposit but YOU payed 100 dollars not 1000! I am wondering if 1600 is a normal amount.

ATT/Cingular Phone Plans...which one do i need? We are looking to turn off our home phone which of course feeds our internet to our comp. Phone at home is about $35 & internet is about $30. What ATT/Cingular Phone do I need to purchase in able to be able to surf the web every now and then? I don't really know what rate plan I am supposed to be looking at? How about data plans? my wife wants to get me the new 3G. Is the Samsung just as good? Is the Sprint phone plan as good as ATT? the ad for Samsung suggests its just as good as the new i Phone but cheaper. Need advice on a cell phone. I have ATT svc & need a flip phone that works. May switch to Cingular SIM phone? I currently have the ATT unlimited charter plan, so the SIM card is ATT. I am evaluating changing to Cingular SIM and getting a different plan but have mixed signals from salespeople. One says the ATT plan is the best on the market, but I have to get an ATT phone. The other says that I need a Cingular plan because I can access many more towers and will therefore have less dropoffs. What is the truth, and what is the best plan and phone for my money? I don't want to pay roaming charges or be worried about minutes(I am spoiled at $99 plus tax a month). Also Bluetooth that might work with a GPS system might be cool. But in a convertible? I bought a phone (htc 8525/tytn) help with att data plans? I recently bought a used htc 8525 (cingular 8525) i have used it for a week and a problem came up wherei need to call att and give them the IMEI number. so they realized that i had a different phone for my plan. since it was a pda / smartphone they added 30 dollar monthly data plan since its required. i didnt want that cuz i already had the family data for 10. so i switched back to my razor and had them remove the 30 dollar data. would there be anything stopping me from switchin the sim card back into the HTC and using it with my 10 data and them not knowing im using it? that way they dont charge the 30 per month? in otherwords can they tell that you switched phones even if you dont tell them? let me rephrase a little. i am on a family plan with unlimited family data. ifi switch my sim card into a smartphone/pda (cingular 8525) will it automatically change my data plan (since its a pda) to the 30 per month?? okay, one more question? i heard that unlocked phones only work for calling and texting? not data. is that true?
