I recently added the home line from att....but its not working i dial the number from a different phone and u can hear it ring...but the phone itself doesnt ring...so what may be wrong...i have called att help line many times but no solutions could it be that the phone line in the house does not work or is it something else having to do with the company? and how can i trouble shoot this problem? thank you
wondering if i can add a cellphone to a home phone plan at att? i got a letter in the mail that said i could get a home phone for $18 a month(unlimited local calling) and i could add (at&t nationwide calling 120 preferred) for and extra $5. How do I call block a cell phone from calling my ATT home (land line) phone? Some body used my phone (ONCE!) to call a cell phone. Now that cell phone calls my house at 1:54 AM.... I need my sleep. I tried to do CALL BLOCK which is supposed to be a feature on my AT&T phone service. But that gets me a message that I can not block that number??? When I call them they say they need a NAME of who the caller is? IT IS A NUMBER! Why does that service not work? Is there any way for me to block that caller? I can not block all un-identified caller because my own cell phone could not get through if I had an emergency. To me the same ability that allows the number to show up on caller ID is all that the phone company needs to BLOCK these calls. Help some one tell me what to do to block ONE caller from a cell phone... forgive my irratic typing, i have had no sleep. I have got caller rejection, caller ID and all of the premium services. That is why I am so frustrated when they (my phone service provider) claims they can not block a cell phone because they need a NAME. The service should block the number, everything else in this computerized world is based on numbers. I can not access my own phone account unless I give a list of numbers (my social security and others like birth date ect..) but when it comes to a logical use for numbers they can not do this??? I think it is BOGUS. They are probably coming out soon with a new charge for blocking these!

i have att dsl without home phone do I need ethernet cable? the only cords i have connected is the power cord and the phone line cord..i remember have the phone cord connected to the phone jack to the gateway att gives you. but i don't remember if i need the ethernet..my laptop receives the wireless internet, i just can't get on it cuz its asking for the PPP autentication.. its a 2wire wireless gateway from att a gateway is a modem and router combined into one. :)

ATT only offers DSL for 19.95 when you have all the frills on your home phone....i dont care about that. I want a very basic home phone line in order to get DSL. ATT Home prepaid service? For the past 2 years, I have not used the ATT home phone service. Deleting my land line Phone at home..Good idea? I have att home phone and and 5 att cell phones for the family. I understand the value of a land line but we make or receive less than 10 calls per month on the home phone and although the home phone is 15.00 it goes up to 28.00 with govt fee's. i just think its a worthless bill.If theres ever an emergency so big that only land lines can make calls then i figure im not gonna get help anyhow .Advice?

ATT Phone Service? Getting a simple answer from ATT nowadays is next to impossible. First, I tried to change my home phone from Residential to Business and they said - You are not with ATT... I have been paying ATT for service for 1 1/2 years. Then, they asked if the littlle blue and white globe was in the corner of my bill. Yes it is. Long story short - 1 hour and 55 min. later I finally was put through to someone that was able to change my service. Today, I am trying to get a user ID and password set up to use my account manager. I was with 3 different people and endless holds to finally get someone to set it up and the necessary things will be e-mailed to me within 24 hrs. Here's the thing - if I worked outside of my home I would never have had enough time to get these answers. I can see it now.... Oh, I need a 2 hr. lunch because I need to get a 5 min. business transaction over with ATT...... I have filed all my e-mails under the ARRRRRRGGGGG file. Does anyone else have ATT trouble?

Hi, I have ATT&T telephone service, is there a way I can block a certain number from calling my home phone? On their website it says $6.00 a month but really we all know if someone wants to continue calling you they'll call from a different number. I know Youmail does it :) and I have that for my cell phone services for free, but is there another service I may not know about. If it gets out of hand I will contact the authority's. Our ATT cell phones do not work too well at home, would Verizon be much better? We might be in the shadow of a hill or something. We have to walk to the end of the house to get them to work. If I hold mine right next to the back window I can get two bars. Everywhere else is zero or one bar. We have three different model phones and they all have similar problems.
